Sr. GIS Analyst

EKN Engineering is a fast-growing civil engineering and technology consulting company located in Irvine, CA. We are looking for a Senior GIS Analyst to join us on our quest to innovate. As a Senior GIS Analyst, you will be responsible for spatial analysis, mapping, developing GIS applications and tools, and managing a digital library of geographic data and maps in various file types, among other duties. In addition, you will need to discover and explain geographic trends and findings from analyses to clients, requiring excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

· Developing and managing applications and datasets on ArcGIS Online

o Creating and maintaining apps developed with Experience Builder and Web App Builder

o Managing company’s ArcGIS Online Hub

o Creating and maintaining mobile apps developed with Field Maps and Survey 123

o Using ArcGIS Online Workforce

· Spatial analysis using ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro platform

o Designing and producing maps with geographic data

o Creating and maintaining ArcGIS script tools

o Creating dynamic map series

· Creating spatial data and managing internal geodatabases

· Developing automated GIS data QA/QC processes

· Producing reports on geographic data utilizing data visualization techniques.

· Exporting and utilizing terrain data from PLS-CADD; using LiDAR data

· Managing a digital library of geographic data, maps, and tabular data.

Qualifications

· Degree in geography, GIS, remote sensing, or a related field preferred.

· 5+ years of relevant experience

· Located in the Bay Area, Sacramento, or Auburn areas.

· Advanced knowledge of ArcGIS Online tools and features (Experience Builder, Web App builder, Field Maps with contingent logic, Survey 123, Dashboards, Workforce.

· Advanced knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, including data model design

· Advanced knowledge of programming in relation to GIS (ArcPy, ARCADE)

· Experience sourcing and working with data and imagery from a range of public sources (USGS, EPA, NOAA, etc.) and file formats (GeoJSON, GeoPackage, Geodatabases, tabular data)

· Familiarity with environmental analytical data and public geotechnical data

· Proficiency managing large geodatabases.

· Proficiency with cartographic techniques and best practices

· Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, attention to detail

· Excellent written and verbal communication.

Bonus Qualifications

· Advanced degree in geography, GIS, or a related field.

· Experience with ArcGIS Pro Data Reviewer, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Webhooks

· Experience with open-source GIS (QGIS, PostGIS, GDAL)

· Familiarity with PLS-CADD, LiDAR data

· Experience with ArcGIS 3D Scenes and 3D Analyst Toolbox
