The Opportunity: 

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This individual will be responsible for preparing financial and KPI reporting, partnering with functional leaders on expense and headcount management, and supporting strategic initiatives with data analyses. The ideal candidate is analytical and has superior modeling and spreadsheet skills. This role is fully remote and reports to the VP of Finance and Corporate Development.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and KPI dashboards to support decision-making processes.
  • Conduct budget vs actual analysis to provide insights into financial performance.
  • Partner with business units to perform analyses related to expenses, headcount, resource allocations, pricing, and gross margin.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and spreadsheets to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Principal Data Analyst to ensure the quality of dashboard data and definitions, conducting audits where necessary.
  • Assist in defining the roadmap for FP&A planning tools, leveraging automation tools where applicable.
  • Communicate effectively, both written and orally, to simply convey complex financial concepts to various stakeholders at varying levels.
  • Work closely with executive leaders to provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in financial analysis and reporting.

Must have skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 4+ years of finance, investment banking, public accounting, or comparable experience
  • Familiarity with the software industry (and SaaS) required
  • Expert in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets); comfortable managing large datasets and driver-based models
  • Familiarity with accounting systems and planning tools (e.g., Netsuite, Mosaic).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
