Job Description

Your Career

Palo Alto Networks is looking for a highly skilled professional to join its Global Customer Services (GCS) Finance team as a Senior Finance Manager reporting to the Senior Director of GCS Finance. This individual will support the team with financial reporting, modeling, monthly/quarterly close cycles, forecasting, annual planning, and ad-hoc financial projects and analyses. Success in this role requires a self-starter with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, a passion for driving change in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with various departments.

  • Work in a fast-paced team environment to drive top-line growth and deliver bottom-line profitability with a focus on maximizing shareholder value
  • Business partner with senior executives in the customer service organization. Improve business performance by providing insightful reports, dashboards, analyses, and models. Drive accountability for business results utilizing operational and financial metrics
  • Ongoing focus on efficiency gains with models to optimize global resource allocation to meet customer and growth requirements
  • Continuously explore enhancements and automation across our portfolio of reports, analytics, and dashboards to ensure accuracy and increase efficiency
  • Drive key projects and engage in AI related initiatives to improve business and financial results. Analyze and report the outcomes and drivers
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including leadership, operations, Corporate Finance, IT, and accounting, to ensure that financial data supports informed decision-making and strategic goals

Qualifications

Your Experience 

  • 8+ years of experience in high-tech FP&A or business support roles working with large datasets, consolidating, analyzing, and creating data-driven models
  • Finance Knowledge: i.e., Profit and Loss (P&L) and other financial Statements, Accounting Principles, and Return on Investment evaluation
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify data requirements and interpret complex financial data and metrics
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Passion for solving complex business problems using a variety of analytics tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a highly-matrixed international organizational structure

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting,  Economics, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. MBA preferred or equivalent military experience required
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP, SAC), BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and G-suite applications is preferred
  • Experience providing Finance support to a Customer Services delivery organization (e.g., Technical Support, Professional Services, Customer Success) or Customer Services Operations team is a plus

The Team

The Global Customer Services (GCS) Finance team partners with Palo Alto Networks’  GCS business unit (Technical Support, Professional Services, and Customer Success) to enable success by driving efficient growth and maximizing profitability. We manage the end-to-end financials and reporting deliverables, annual and long-term planning processes, and multi-period forecasting cycles, using analytics and tools to achieve business and financial objectives.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) is expected to be between $151000/YR - $244000/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
