The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and play a key role in overseeing operating expenses across the Agency. This position is primarily focused on expense management, partnering closely with back-office functions while supporting front-office departments. In addition to core Opex oversight, the role will contribute to management reporting that provides visibility into the full P&L and supports executive leadership.
This role requires a forward-looking FP&A mindset and the ability to think beyond the numbers. Serving as a strategic finance partner to functional leaders, the Senior Financial Analyst will deliver financial transparency, assess cost drivers, and provide actionable insights to inform business strategy. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical rigor with sound business judgment, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and translates complex financial data into clear, executive-ready insights.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver monthly management reporting for front- and back-office functions, including operating expense analysis, key drivers, and variance commentary.
Oversee ongoing operating expenses, performing budget-to-actual analysis, identifying trends, and proactively highlighting risks and opportunities.
Review transactional data to ensure accuracy, proper coding, and alignment with budget assumptions, partnering closely with Accounting during monthly close.
Support the development and maintenance of operating expense budgets and forecasts, including annual planning and periodic forecasts.
Partner with leaders across Legal, HR, IT, and other Agency functions to provide financial guidance, improve spend visibility, and support disciplined cost management.
Assist in preparing consolidated P&L reporting and executive materials in collaboration with the Director of FP&A.
Maintain data integrity within financial systems while identifying opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen controls, and improve reporting efficiency.
Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to senior Finance leadership as needed.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial reporting, with meaningful exposure to operating expense management and variance analysis.
Strong understanding of GAAP fundamentals and the relationship between Accounting and FP&A.
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large data sets; experience with enterprise financial systems (SAP, BPC, Hyperion, or similar) preferred.
Demonstrated analytical depth, including detailed transactional review, with exceptional accuracy and strong attention to detail, ensuring data integrity and clear executive reporting.
Self-starter with an independent, proactive mindset; takes initiative to identify discrepancies in large data sets, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions with minimal oversight.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial insights for non-finance stakeholders and partner effectively across functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Experience or interest in entertainment, media, or talent-driven industries is a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.
CPA or MBA a plus, but not required.

Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. Hiring Rate Minimum:
$67,500 annually (minimum will not fall below the applicable state/local minimum salary thresholds)Hiring Rate Maximum:
