As a Senior Financial Analyst on the Enterprise Financial Planning (EFP) team, you will be a key contributor to SPE’s enterprise-wide planning and forecasting processes. This role partners closely with finance teams across operating divisions to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent financial submissions, while supporting the tools, systems, and reporting that inform senior leadership and Sony Corporation.
Responsibilities- Support the preparation, consolidation, presentation, and submission of enterprise-wide financial projections, including the annual Budget, 2-year Strategic (Mid-Range) Plan, and quarterly forecasts of income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets for all SPE operating divisions.
- Coordinate with divisional finance teams to ensure timely, accurate, and complete financial submissions; manage line-of-business online trackers and supporting schedules.
- Review and analyze financial data submitted by operating units, identifying key variances versus prior forecasts and highlighting notable trends and drivers.
- Prepare financial reporting and presentation materials, ensuring consistency with enterprise standards and presentation requirements.
- Manage user access, updates, and assets for the EFP coordination site, ensuring appropriate controls, version accuracy, and accessibility.
- Maintain the enterprise consolidation systems and offline input templates used to collect projected financials from operating units.
- Lead the bi-weekly forecast update process, coordinating inputs, validating changes, and supporting summary analysis.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports for senior SPE management and Sony Corporation as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, public accounting, or a related analytical role.
- Solid working knowledge of accounting principles, including income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets.
- Demonstrated experience supporting budgets, forecasts, and long-range planning processes in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAP BW or other enterprise financial systems preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
