JOB OVERVIEW:

This position will play a critical role in framing business insights across Ingredient, Commodity and International Branded Segments that enable sales leadership to make effective decisions. This role will mostly interact with the Commercial, Supply Chain and Operations organizations working proactively challenging current ways of working across the 3 business segments. This role is expected to provide prescriptive analysis, manage projects, and think strategically while dealing with business/channel complexities. Assist Sr Director of Finance and Commercial ELT in the development of strategic and annual operating plans while proactively identifying R&O and gaps around forecasts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Pricing/COGS and GM dynamics across multiple segments and proactively engage and partner with Commercial, Operations and Supply Chain teams about financial implications of strategic decisions.
  • Operate as the key finance lead and strategic business partner for Ingredient, Commodity and International Branded teams by providing accurate and timely financial information that facilitates the timely execution of commercial decisions and optimize their impact.
  • Continually leverage planning and reporting processes, systems (ie SAC, S&OP) and build/evolve robust data insights solutions, identify integration opportunities across systems and segments.
  • Responsible for managing a Sr Financial Analyst while supporting a successful collaboration with the broader commercial finance team.
  • Identify and execute ad hoc analytical projects that deepen commercial insights and drive value to the business. Provide general analytical and process support to sales team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting or Finance. Advance degree or certification (MBA or CMA) preferred.
  • 10+ years of broad Finance experience preferably in Sales Finance, Ops Finance and  FP&A. Ideally exposure to integrated  Agricultural and branded  businesses, with an emphasis on Costing/pricing/commercial support. Demonstrated business planning partnering, influence and commercial impact.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills are vital for success in this role. It requires the ability to build credibility, constructive relationships, and impact cross-functionally at all levels in the organization. It also requires the ability to synthesize, simplify and present complex information and concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • Highly developed financial and business analytical skills are required; to understand and interpret business results and plans, and to provide insights to improve business results and grower returns.  Strong knowledge of financial concepts around cost accounting and sales finance pricing principles.
  • Must be knowledgeable in standard business software (MS Office, ERP’s) at an advanced  level  with the SAP/SAC experience required.  Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office programs, specifically excel.
  • Direct knowledge of data management interface tools such as Power BI or Google Data Studio. Exposure to ERP systems and data extraction from disparate sales warehouses (operational systems).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Frequently sitting at a computer terminal. Regular visual concentration for reading, reviewing reports and on-screen data.

Typical office environment and may require occasional manufacturing area visits.
