- Duration: Contract (Through June 2027)

Project Scope
We are seeking a Senior Epic Cogito Project Manager to lead a Cogito Modernization initiative for a hospital in the Philadelphia market. This role will drive the migration of an Epic Clarity database from Oracle into the Azure cloud environment, managing all aspects of project delivery including vendor relationships, executive stakeholder engagement, risk management, and day-to-day execution.
Position Summary
The Senior Epic Cogito Project Manager will serve as the primary project leader responsible for commanding and controlling a complex, technically driven Cogito Azure migration. This individual will manage up and down — from senior leadership and vendor partners to internal analysts and technical teams — and must be equally comfortable driving executive conversations as they are building status reports and tracking risks in a spreadsheet. The ideal candidate is a senior-level PM with hands-on Cogito and Azure migration experience, strong vendor management skills, and the executive presence to lead a high-visibility project from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Epic Cogito Modernization project including the migration of the Clarity database from Oracle to Azure.
- Drive project planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, risk management, issue resolution, and overall project accountability.
- Manage vendor relationships including coordination with Nordic and other project partners.
- Facilitate and lead project calls with confidence, including sessions attended by senior leadership and executive sponsors.
- Manage up and down — communicating effectively with hospital leadership while keeping technical teams aligned and accountable.
- Develop and maintain project documentation including status reports, risk reports, decision logs, and tracking spreadsheets.
- Coordinate onboarding and security requirements in partnership with internal stakeholders.
- Identify and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and resource constraints throughout the engagement.
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for project scope, timeline, and delivery outcomes.
- Jump in wherever necessary — this role requires a senior mentality without being above the day-to-day work.
Qualifications
- Strong technical project management experience with a focus on complex healthcare IT or EHR migrations.
- Hands-on experience leading a Cogito or Clarity migration to Azure required.
- Experience managing vendor relationships in a multi-partner project environment.
- Proven ability to manage sponsors, internal teams, vendors, risks, timelines, and overall project accountability.
- Executive presence and confidence to lead conversations with senior and C-suite stakeholders.
- Comfort with day-to-day PM execution including status reports, risk tracking, documentation, and spreadsheet management.
- Ability to work East Coast hours regardless of location.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Epic Cogito or Clarity certification a plus.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience working with Nordic or comparable Epic consulting vendors.
- Background supporting large hospital or health system IT modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with Oracle-to-Azure database migration processes and cloud infrastructure concepts.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Senior PM who commands the room — confident, prepared, and able to drive accountability across all levels of the organization.
- Technically fluent enough to engage meaningfully with architects, engineers, and Epic teams without needing to be the hands-on builder.
- Vendor management veteran who knows how to hold partners accountable while maintaining productive working relationships.
- Equally comfortable in an executive steering committee and a project tracking spreadsheet.
- Brings structure, urgency, and ownership to a high-visibility engagement from day one.
