Job Description:
The Sr. Engineer, Process Improvement is responsible to drive operational excellence through data-driven process optimization and technology enablement. This role will collaborate across departments to gather data, develop hypotheses, and build process models that enhance efficiency, improve service delivery, and maximize value. This role's expertise in process analysis, problem-solving, and relationship-building is instrumental and highly impactful in refining operations and enabling strategic business decisions.- Lead end-to-end process assessments, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for automation and standardization.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt/Master Black Belt) methodologies to analyze, optimize, and streamline workflows.
- Develop and implement scalable process improvement models to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks, eliminate waste, and reduce operational costs.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Utilize statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization to support strategic decision-making.
- Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness and business impact.
- Develop ROI models to assess the financial and operational benefits of recommended improvements.
- Collaborate with technology teams to recommend and implement automation, tools and workflow optimizations.
- Serve as a liaison between multiple departments and stakeholders, ensuring that process improvements align with digital transformation goals.
- Identify opportunities to integrate modern technology solutions to streamline workflows and enhance value delivery.
- Act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Facilitate workshops and data-driven discussions to ensure process recommendations are well understood and adopted.
- Develop and implement change management strategies, ensuring a smooth transition from current to improved processes.
- Educate teams on continuous improvement best practices, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
- Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Business Administration, Business, Engineering or Computer Science)
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.
- 6-8 years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or management consulting.
- Expertise in process mapping, root cause analysis (RCA), and business process reengineering (BPR).
- Strong consultancy background with experience solving complex problems, deconstructing inefficiencies, and implementing impactful solutions.
- Experience working with automation, driving process improvement tools, or RPA (Robotic Process Automation) is a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification required.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of: Lean Six Sigma practices, workshop facilitations, process mapping, financial modeling, establishing and monitoring KPIs; healthcare knowledge is a plus.
- Skill in: Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, R, or data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.). Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and critical reasoning skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization. Process optimization, presentation, financial modeling, building relationships and trust remotely, stakeholder management.
- Ability to: Ability to understand and measure value creation, tracking business impact and financial ROI. Work in a fast-paced remote environment, be a self-starter, stay organized, prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
