Job Summary:

The Sr Engineer, OEM Technology Integration is responsible for managing initial technical and compliance aspects of OEM partnerships and Masimo product integration into OEM products. This position provides engineering level customer support through documentation and process management during initial integration as well as coordination/handoff to OEM Technology Integration teams, as required to ensure timely and successful launch of Masimo technology in OEM devices. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Generate and ship OEM development kits and associated documentation for partner integration based on executed and active development agreements and/or P&L’s

  • Coordinate efforts during OEM integration to ensure successful initial integration and transition to deployment teams for pre-V&V and subsequent formal testing of Masimo equipped OEM devices

  • Initiate and track regular communication with OEM customers regarding OEM integration status while fielding and resolving technical integration questions

  • Confirm via pre-test and device review that the integration and labeling (e.g., manual) matches the supplied documentation from the OEM prior to handoff for formal verification

  • Assist with maintenance of internal processes and procedures related to assigned tasks (Development kits, product documentation creation processes, document delivery portal, etc.)

  • Provide OEM Integration documentation and design support for all assigned products (Oximetry, Gas Monitoring Solutions, Masimo Open Connect, etc.)

  • Along with Deployment Test team, manage and administer OEM device pre-check / pre-test process for all OEM devices provided for integration V&V Testing

  • Provide documentation via the OEM Document Portal using applicable OEM Confidentiality Process(es) as required

  • Ensure final acceptance letters and TR PDF’s are generated and provided to the OEM upon successful test completion

  • In conjunction with OEM Product and Project Managers directly manage notification to partners in development regarding spec or product changes (firmware revisions, obsolete or new parts, etc.)

  • Collaborate with OEM Technology and Integration teams to create and maintain documentation necessary to integrate new features or technologies into applicable test protocols and tools to ensure thorough testing

  • Along with Deployment Test team, manage and administer OEM device pre-check / pre-test process for all OEM devices provided for integration V&V Testing

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in product development and associated project management experience

  • Must possess an ability to work at a technical level with engineers and customers

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal format

  • Excellent organization skills, ability to proactively troubleshoot both process and specific customer implementation issues

  • Ability to work onsite Monday - Friday in Irvine, CA 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in medical device industry.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field or equivalent work experience.

Compensation: 

The anticipated salary range for this position is $113,000 - $140k plus benefits. Actual placement within this range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 10% annual bonus based on company, department, and individual performance. 

Physical requirements/Work Environment:

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking.  Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required.  May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities.  Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required.
