Job Summary

The Sr Employee Engagement Planner leads the strategy, planning, and execution of high-impact employee experiences while supporting internal communication efforts that reinforce Company's culture and values. With approximately 60% of the role focused on events and 40% on communications partnering with teams across HR, DEI, Corporate Communications, and Creative to bring culture and storytelling to life.

Essential Functions

    • Plan and produce large and mid-scale employee events across the annual Employee Engagement calendar, including Global All Staff Meetings, Company Picnic, Lunch with Leadership, milestone events, cultural celebrations, and other strategic activations.
    • Design immersive, brand-aligned experiences that reflect the company’s mission and values.
    • Oversee all logistics including vendor coordination, budget tracking, timelines, technical requirements, and on-site execution for assigned events and/or projects.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to align event goals with broader engagement and culture strategies.
    • Bring an experiential marketing lens to employee events, focusing on storytelling, creative details, and audience experience.
    • Research and recommend new trends and types of events to continually evolve internal experiences.
    • Develop and execute communication strategies to promote events, culture initiatives, and company-wide programs that support employee engagement. Ensure communication and event narratives are integrated, cohesive, and aligned with the company’s tone and values.
    • Write and edit content for internal platforms such as newsletters, intranet, digital signage, and leadership messaging.
    • Update and maintain the company’s internal website. Collaborate with stakeholders to post timely updates, refresh visuals, and optimize site navigation for an improved employee experience.
    • Partner with DEI, HR, Corporate Communications, and Creative to coordinate messaging and content planning across teams.
    • Track key event performance indicators for both assigned events and internal communications and provide insights and recommendations for future programming.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) Communications, Marketing, Humanities or in related field
  • 4-6 years in employee engagement, internal events, communications, or experiential marketing—in a corporate or agency environment.
  • Minimum 2 years in internal or external communications.
  • Experience using feedback and metrics to inform event or campaign improvements.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-faceted engagement programs and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience managing event vendors and budgets is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead internal events or activations from concept to execution with a focus on experience design and audience connection.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft messaging that is both informative and engaging.
  • Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, project management tools, or internal comms platforms is a plus.
  • Background in experiential marketing, brand activations, or immersive event design is preferred.
  • Familiarity with inclusive storytelling and DEI-aligned engagement efforts is preferred.
  • Knowledge of platforms like Mailchimp, Poppulo, Qualtrics, Asana, or Trello is preferred.

Pay Scale: $77,108 - $101,204

Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
