SR. DIRECTOR,  PROGRAM MANAGEMENT - EL SEGUNDO, CA - ONSITE 

Program Management is critical to the successful execution of programs, ensuring customer requirements are achieved on time and within budget. The Sr. Director of Program Management will lead our organization's strategic initiatives and oversee the successful execution of programs across departments. 

The ideal candidate will be an exceptional leader and will have experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. They will also be responsible to develop and implement a comprehensive program management strategy aligned with Skyryse objectives and priorities.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support FAA Certified STC, ATC or TC programs at OEM level, including familiarity with ARP4754, DO-178C, or DO-254.Provide strategic leadership and direction to program managers and teams, ensuring clarity in goals, timelines, and deliverables.Define the program governance (controls) and metrics needed to drive execution to plan
  • Identify risks and develop risk retirement plans
  • Own the integrated master schedule and schedule management
  • Define and own operating rhythm, risk management, program execution strategies, agile methodologies, etc.
  • Foster a culture of excellence and accountability within the program management team
  • Promote continuous improvement and best practices
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align program strategies with overall business strategies and operational needsMonitor and evaluate program performance against strategic goals, making recommendations for adjustments and improvements as necessaryLead and mentor a team of program managers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in aircraft systems development
  • 7+ years of experience as a Director or Sr. Director with a track record of successfully managing complex aerospace programs from inception to delivery.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate teams toward achieving ambitious goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategic initiatives into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency with MS Project, EVM and Risk Management 
  • Understanding of aircraft quality assurance and management principles and processes
  • Start-up environment experience
  • PMP Certification
  • Previous experience completing a full aircraft life-cycle development and certification program
  • Microsoft Project and JIRA tool experience
