We are seeking a visionary and execution-oriented Senior Director of Planning to own and integrate our entire planning function, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and forecasting tools. This leader will oversee and scale our end-to-end planning processes and build a high-performing team that ensures we are always in-stock, lean on inventory, and aligned to business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Building

  • Lead, mentor, and grow the supply and demand planning teams (currently including demand planners, supply planners, and procurement specialists)

  • Build a scalable organizational structure that supports both DTC and retail growth

  • Drive accountability across forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and customer fill rates

Forecasting & Planning

  • Own the integrated demand and supply planning process, from S&OP inputs to SKU-level forecasts

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to align on bottoms-up forecasts, new product launches, and promotional planning

  • Identify, select, and lead implementation of advanced forecasting software/tools

  • Set and monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, service levels, and inventory health

Systems & Process Implementation

  • Collaborate with IT and external partners on the implementation and optimization of planning/forecasting tools

  • Build standard operating procedures for planning, replenishment, and supply response

  • Ensure planning systems and processes scale with SKU complexity and channel mix

Inventory Management

  • Drive visibility and strategy around inventory levels, safety stock, and excess/obsolete mitigation

  • Partner with procurement, manufacturing, and warehouse teams to optimize inbound and outbound flow

  • Lead cross-functional efforts to improve planning for product transitions, seasonality, and supplier reliability

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 10+ years in supply chain or planning roles, with 5+ years at a Director level or above

  • Proven track record leading demand and supply planning in a fast-paced CPG, retail, or food/supplement business

  • Deep experience with forecasting systems and MRP/ERP integration

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning processes, metrics, and best practices

  • Exceptional communicator and collaborator with executive presence

  • Experience building and scaling high-performing teams from the ground up

Salary: $150,000-170,000 annually

Location: Remote, or hybrid if near SLC, Utah

Position Type: Full-time
