Position Overview:
The Director/Sr. Director, Marketing Operations delivers operational support for the Marketing organization(s) and other areas as needed. The scope includes Digital Marketing operations, Meeting Planning and Fulfillment. Key to successful commercialization for all of our future brands will be an effective strategy and buildout of our digital marketing ecosystem to enable a broad variety of multi-channel promotional strategies. The Director/Sr. Director, Marketing Operations will partner with brand teams(s) to design the appropriate approach to deliver these strategies. The role will also be responsible for analytics related to the effectiveness and execution of our digital strategies and will partner with other Commercial Operations resources to ensure delivery of insights related to multi-channel efforts. Also, within the scope of Marketing Operations will be our Commercial Review Process, Fulfilment, Meeting Planning and other operational activities in support of the Marketing team(s).
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day alignment and operational management of digital services
- Identifies and works regularly with appropriate internal and external resources (e.g. contracting with agencies and vendors) to support resourcing strategies for digital services
- Establishes team and individual objectives for Marketing Operations staff
- Ensures high quality tactical execution of platform strategies and operations in support of digital services in partnership with Marketing and IT
- Develops training plans with our head of Training for the platform team that align with long term direction of digital services
- Optimizes and implements targeted digital strategies to ensure achievement of promotional communication goals
- Leadership of the Commercial Review Process in partnership with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal and Compliance as appropriate
- Development of policies and SOPs related to the Commercial Review Process
- Leadership of analytics efforts to support digital marketing efforts and in partnership with Market Research and Analytics and Field Operations, delivers insights and metrics to measure execution, performance and ROI
- Manages operational processes associated with brand execution including vendor selection and management of a fulfillment partner
Requirements:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
- Strong working knowledge of all aspects of digital communications and marketing
- Deep expertise with digital customer experience and best practices, along with working knowledge of the marketing technology stack
- Familiarity and experience with a broad range of agency partners and tech platforms leveraged to achieve digital marketing excellence

Compensation Overview:
The anticipated annual salary range for this role at Director level is $215,000 to $270,000, and at Sr. Director level is $240,000 to $330,000. These are the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include – but are not limited to – the final job level offered, the type and length of experience within the job and industry, relevant education, qualifications, skills, certifications, performance, and business or organizational needs.
The hired applicant will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and an equity grant in the form of stock options.

- All Prothena employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, and vision insurance, with Prothena paying ~90% of plan premiums.
- Prothena pays the full premium for basic life and disability insurance for all employees.
- Prothena employees are also eligible to enroll in our Company’s 401(k) plan and are always 100% vested in their account balances. The 401(k) plan provides for a quarterly, non-discretionary, 3% company-paid contribution on eligible earnings, as well as an additional, annual discretionary Company match of up to 2% of eligible earnings.
- New Prothena employees are also eligible for 17 days of paid vacation accrued over the course of the first year of employment, paid sick time in accordance with state law, and company-paid holidays – which includes a Company-wide shutdown at the winter holidays.
