The Sales Director, Key Accounts is responsible for leading a high-performing team focused on expanding, renewing, and upselling value-added services across Lytx’s existing client base. This role plays a critical part in driving strategic growth, bringing a disciplined selling methodology and collaborative, insight-led approach to the sales process.

You’ll work closely with the Key Account Management (KAM) team to execute against expansion goals, optimize client lifetime value, and ensure alignment with Lytx’s broader business strategy. Through strong planning, process optimization, and sales enablement, you will equip the team with the tools and capabilities needed to drive sustained revenue growth—focusing on expansion sales, renewals, and upgrades.

In this role, you’ll also partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Client Services, and other internal teams to refine the value proposition, sharpen go-to-market strategies, and ensure market alignment—positioning Lytx to maintain and grow its leadership in the industry.

You’ll Get To:

  • Lead, develop, and manage the Key Account Sales Managers to achieve growth targets through expansion, renewals, and upsell initiatives.
  • Drive a strategic, insight-driven sales approach that is closely aligned with business priorities and client needs, through Account Planning Processes.
  • Own and manage accurate sales forecasting and pipeline health, leveraging Salesforce to track performance, identify risks, and inform executive reporting.
  • Drive executional excellence through robust planning, sales process discipline, and effective sales enablement.
  • Implement a performance-driven culture through clear KPIs, regular coaching, and structured performance management.
  • Coach team members on navigating complex customer conversations, including pricing changes, cost increases, and contract negotiations—ensuring alignment with value delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the Lytx value proposition and ensure go-to-market strategies are impactful and differentiated.
  • Continuously evaluate team performance, identify areas for development, and take action to improve sales effectiveness and drive revenue growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of SaaS sales leadership experience, including 3–5 years as a quota-carrying Enterprise Account Executive.
  • Proven track record of engaging senior executives and key stakeholders to solve complex business challenges through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong relationship builder with both clients and internal teams; known for collaboration and trust-building.
  • Highly motivated with a results-driven, “can-do” attitude and a strong drive to exceed goals.
  • Logical thinker with clear communication skills and strong organizational abilities.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Consultative, solution-based selling approach with a history of consistently meeting and exceeding performance targets.
  • Continuous learner who shares best practices and contributes to team development.
  • Strong ability to identify and suggest improvements to internal processes.
  • Experience partnering across Sales, Client Services, and other functions to solve complex problems.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Salesforce.com or similar CRM tools.
  • Industry experience in telematics or related SaaS solutions, ideally within commercial transportation.
  • Willingness to travel frequently—up to 50% nationally.

Salary is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  This position is also eligible for an incentive compensation plan.  The expected hiring salary for this position is:

$143,750.00 - $181,250.00
