Job Title: Sr. Director, Global Marketplace Excellence
Reports to: President, Global Marketplace

Location: United States (Remote)

The Role

The Senior Director, Global Marketplace Excellence is a key leader responsible for driving strategic alignment and operational excellence across Deckers’ global marketplace. Reporting to the President, Global Marketplace, the Senior Director acts as a central orchestrator of cross-functional priorities, partnering closely with Channel Center of Excellence (CoE) leads (e.g., Retail, eCommerce) and Regional GMs to translate marketplace and consumer insights into integrated plans that fuel growth.

As a member of the Global Marketplace leadership team, the Senior Director leads marketplace strategy development, ensures alignment of initiatives, and connects insights to execution across channels and regions. This role collaborates closely with the Enterprise Strategy function to ensure coordination while owning strategy and planning specific to the Marketplace domain.

Your Impact

Marketplace Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for the global marketplace, informed by consumer trends, competitive dynamics, and performance analytics.

  • Lead annual and multi-year marketplace planning processes in partnership with channel CoEs, regional GMs, and functional leaders.

  • Translate long-term direction into actionable plans that include clear KPIs, milestones, and governance mechanisms to drive accountability and executional clarity.

  • Serve as a key strategic advisor to the President, Global Marketplace, enabling leadership team effectiveness through structured decision-making, performance tracking, and governance processes that sustain alignment.

  • Manage marketplace-wide strategic initiatives, ensuring milestones, progress tracking, and clear coordination across teams.

  • Partner with Marketplace Analytics to synthesize market signals, business performance, and consumer behaviors into strategic direction.

  • Ensure that data-driven insights are embedded into planning, performance management, and decision-making across all channels and regions.

Stakeholder Engagement & Organizational Alignment

  • Act as a central connector across channel CoEs, regional GMs, and corporate partners to maintain strategic cohesion across geographies and business models.

  • Liaise with the Enterprise Strategy team to align marketplace strategies with broader corporate priorities, ensuring complementary focus and avoiding redundancy.

Leadership & Influence

  • Contribute as a core member of the Marketplace Leadership Team, championing an integrated, consumer-centric, and future-forward approach to commercial strategy.

  • Foster a culture of strategic rigor, collaboration, and accountability across the organization.

Who You Are

  • MBA or related advanced degree preferred.

  • 12+ years of experience in commercial strategy, business planning, marketplace development, or general management within a global consumer-facing business.

  • Strong understanding of channel dynamics and integrated go-to-market strategy across retail and digital commerce.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional planning and manage complex stakeholder environments.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills; able to translate data into actionable insights and influence senior stakeholders.

  • Experience collaborating with centralized strategy or corporate planning teams.

$240,000 - $255,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
