Role Overview:
The Sr. Director - Global Diagnostics Pathways & Policy will leverage their deep diagnostic policy and pathways knowledge to create clear strategic plans for addressing patient access and affordability barriers to diagnostic testing. In addition, this leader will maintain up-to-date knowledge of the rapidly evolving global diagnostic coverage and reimbursement ecosystem to support key markets in initiative creation and prioritization, supporting innovation and launch readiness for biomarker-directed medicines.
Responsibilities:
Function as a central diagnostic coverage and affordability expert across business units and global teams.
Deliver global strategies to advance diagnostic access and remove barriers to diagnostic affordability.
Strategically guide and oversee all sponsored testing activities for the company.
Ensure diagnostic pathway and policy insights and solutions are integrated into launch readiness planning.
Identify and outline early Diagnostic coverage and affordability issues for pipeline assets in support of New Product Planning team(s) in advance of commercial decision.
Consult upon Lilly-sponsored research and/or other studies required to overcome known evidence and confidence barriers to diagnostic pathways as a part of integrated evidence generation planning.
Monitor and provide insights on the global policy, Payer, HTA, and health economic landscape to drive understanding of drivers and barriers to appropriate diagnostic testing across multiple therapy areas and key markets.
Ensure diagnostic access, affordability, and policy insights are appropriately captured in primary market research and measurement.
Own oversight of the global policy, Payer, HTA, and health economic landscape for potential access drivers and barriers to appropriate diagnostic testing.
Develop expertise and share with cross functional business partners on the macro trends in the diagnostic pathway landscape (e.g., updates on coverage policies, key market trends, new HTA decisions, important diagnostic health economic studies and their implications, etc.).
Measure and evaluate global key performance initiatives to understand the success of diagnostic pathway initiatives across innovation and launch readiness timeframes.
Collaborate and support LVA team and Corporate and Government Affairs partners to provide diagnostic policy advisory across the enterprise.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 4 years relevant experience working in market access and/or policy within diagnostics space.
Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role.
Preferred:
6+ years relevant diagnostic market access experience
Advanced degree (e.g. Ph.D. or MS/MBA)
Deep understanding of, and strong network within, diagnostic ecosystem

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$150,000 - $220,000Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
