Role Overview: The Sr. Director, Global Diagnostics Partnerships will leverage their deep diagnostic partnering knowledge to create clear strategic plans for innovative partnerships for Lilly to advance patient identification goals. In addition, this incumbent will provide expertise across business units in a rapidly evolving global diagnostic partnership ecosystem to support key markets in initiative creation and prioritization, supporting innovation and launch readiness for biomarker-directed medicines.  

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver strategic guidance to cross functional partners and business units as the global central expert on diagnostic partners (e.g., lab & kit providers)
  • Identify and create new opportunities for partnerships in order to advance Lilly’s patient identification goals across therapeutic areas.  
  • Own and cultivate relationships with key US & OUS national reference labs and diagnostic providers and facilitate leadership exchanges between companies, as appropriate.
  • Develop novel partnership models and shared learnings internally to improve our innovation and launch readiness across business units.
  • Develop and support the execution of lab/IVD partnership strategies.
  • Define new and simplified internal processes to enhance alignment with global diagnostic strategy and Lilly processes (i.e. commercial collaboration agreements, statements of work, etc.)
  • Oversee global partnerships and ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Function as the “face of Lilly” to global diagnostic partners on behalf of commercialization teams. 
  • Support sourcing, strategic alignment on acquisition, (with commercial, legal, compliance, business insights and analytics etc.), and ongoing impact measurement of diagnostic data purchases.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the rapidly evolving precision medicine and diagnostic partnership landscape.  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience working in Business Development and/or partnership function within diagnostics industry
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role.

Preferred:

  • 6+ years relevant diagnostic partnership experience
  • Advanced degree (e.g. Ph.D. or MS/MBA)
  • Deep understanding of, and strong network within, diagnostic ecosystem
  • Strong ability to network across the diagnostic industry

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$150,000 - $220,000

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
