Role Overview: The Sr. Director - Global Diagnostics Environment will leverage their deep diagnostic industry understanding to create clear strategic plans for working effectively with pathology and laboratory medicine groups (e.g., societies, consortia, coalitions, etc.) across the globe. In addition, this leader will maintain up-to-date knowledge of the rapidly evolving global diagnostic ecosystem to support key markets in initiative creation and prioritization.
Responsibilities:
Function as the global expert leader on diagnostic consortia, coalitions, and industry groups across the company
Create and own the strategic approach for working with consortia, coalitions, and industry groups to advance Lilly’s patient identification goals.
Lead the engagement of key global diagnostic groups and their leadership to solicit input into and collaboration for Lilly’s diagnostic priorities.
Deliver strategic plan for prioritized collaboration across groups, geographies, and BUs to advance Lilly’s goals.
Own cross business unit needs assessment and strategy for global pathology and lab conferences to maximize Lilly enterprise investments in presence and education at key meetings.
Engage internal colleagues to ensure clarity, awareness, and coordination with important external diagnostic groups.
Survey and monitor diagnostic-related industry activity across priority markets to inform Lilly’s external engagements.
Present and/or organize Lilly presenters for key global conferences to drive Lilly’s leadership among stakeholders in lab medicine.
Consolidate important insights from global diagnostic environment for benefit of internal partners and to inform innovation and launch readiness tactical planning.
Collaborate with Scientific Affairs teams for global diagnostic (e.g., Pathology) global thought leader planning and engagement, synchronized cross-functionally and geographically.
Actively collaborate with Corporate and Government Affairs teams across Lilly to refine and support Lilly’s external messaging and interactions.
Responsible for ensuring Dx Environment solutions are integrated into Innovation and Launch Readiness planning across company.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 4 years relevant experience working with external partners in Corporate Affairs, External Affairs, and/or Society leadership role or equivalent experience.

Preferred:
6+ years relevant diagnostic environment experience
Advanced degree (e.g. Ph.D. or MS/MBA)
Deep understanding of, and strong network within, diagnostic ecosystem

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$150,000 - $220,000Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
