For Those Who Work At Home - Various, New Jersey 07901The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing deployment pipelines and infrastructure across cloud environments, with a primary focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role involves implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform, supporting development teams with CI/CD processes, and troubleshooting deployment and infrastructure issues across environments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for reliable and consistent deployments.
- Provision, configure, and manage infrastructure on GCP using Terraform.
- Ensure infrastructure as code follows modular, reusable, and scalable design principles.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and environment configurations.
- Manage and optimize build processes, runners, and artifact storage solutions.
- Maintain environment consistency across development, staging, and production.
- Configure and maintain containerized environments using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (GKE).
- Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems for cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to support deployment needs and resolve DevOps-related blockers.
- Participate in incident resolution and postmortem analysis related to infrastructure issues.
Requirements: - 5+ years of experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles.
- Deep expertise with Google Cloud Platform services and architecture.
- Advanced proficiency with Terraform, including module creation and state management.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and tooling.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver, or similar.
- Strong understanding of version control systems and Git-based workflows.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $79,000 to $146,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
