The opportunity

The Adobe Design Brand team is a collaborative and creative multidisciplinary group that defines the visual brand system across all Adobe products. From product logos to illustrations, animations, and branded UX elements, we shape how Adobe products show up in the world.

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Sr. Design Manager to join the team who can craft and lead a vision for brand experiences that scale across diverse customer segments and surfaces. This manager will work alongside the design director, brand designers, product designers, marketing, and engineering teams to bring ideas from concept to production. We’re looking for a natural leader with a strong design background, a desire to drive iteration and innovation, and a proven ability to inspire and manage creative teams.

What you'll do
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team in crafting and owning a cohesive, innovative, and scalable brand system

  • Partner cross-functionally with teams across the Spectrum org, Adobe Design, product teams, marketing, strategy, and engineering

  • Drive a high volume of projects ranging in complexity, balancing macro and micro perspectives and company priorities with a strategic approach

  • Communicate ideas through high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, strategy decks, storyboards, or animations

  • Inspire the team to push creative boundaries through critique, storytelling, and by example

What you need to succeed
  • Experience influencing brand decisions within a corporate or medium-to-large tech environment

  • 4+ years of creative leadership experience, with a proven track record of leading teams through large-scale, innovative projects that delight

  • A deep understanding of design, prototyping, and the development process across desktop, mobile and platforms

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to tailor a presentation to any audience from interns to executives

  • Excellent instincts for balancing creative vision with team dynamics and business objectives

  • A degree or equivalent experience in a design-related field (HCI, interaction, visual)

  • An open mind, a love of design, and comfort navigating ambiguity

Preferred Accessibility Design Skills:
Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities.
Understanding of applying WCAG conformance criteria in design, specifically testing comps, wireframes, and prototypes for accessibility standards.
Accessibility certifications CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS from the IAAP preferred.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
