We are looking to hire an excellent Senior Data Scientist or Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Analytics team. Typical work for the Analytics team includes insights and analysis work, managing and modeling data in our data warehouse, reporting, and data visualization.
Note: This is not a machine learning or predictive modeling role.
Responsibilities:
- Coding: Write code in SQL and Python, including for ad hoc analyses, basic ELT pipelines, and more
- Data modeling: Use dbt to model data in our warehouse; turn raw data into usable data
- Analysis and insights: Prepare and analyze data in order to provide clear and actionable insights to the business
- Communication: Effectively communicate your work with team leads and cross-functional stakeholders on a regular basis
- Data visualization: Use software (e.g., Looker, Python) to create diagrams, graphs, charts, and dashboards to represent trends and predictions
Bonus Points:
- Experimentation: Design and analyze A/B experiments to evaluate the impact of changes and optimize our risk actions
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in statistics, data science, or similar STEM field with 5+ years of experience in a relevant role OR
- A graduate degree in statistics, data science, or similar STEM field with 3+ years of experience in a relevant role
- Advanced proficiency with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, etc)
- Experience with scripting and data analysis using Python
- Experience with using dbt for data modeling
