We are searching for an experienced Senior Integration Engineer to play a critical role in navigating complex integration related needs, from initial client onboarding to the daily platform usage of existing clients. This role will have a direct impact on our users and our internal teams by devising and executing sophisticated technical data solutions.
As a Senior Integration Engineer, you will be expected to provide technical leadership, drive process improvements, and take ownership of highly complex issues and projects. Given the nature of our work, this role requires strong project management skills as well as strong development skills to help guide the team's direction and maximize our impact.

This role requires a blend of advanced technical execution, product prioritization, and team mentorship.
Technical Execution & Expertise- Analyze, debug, and resolve the most complex tickets and data discrepancies, acting as the team's escalation point and determining root causes for systemic failures.
- Write, review, and execute detailed action plans for major data operations. You will be responsible for providing thorough code review and guidance on coding best practices for teammates, ensuring high standards for system reliability and performance.
- Develop and maintain deep expertise in the technical specifications of SISes and third-party systems. Set up and troubleshoot complex Single Sign-on (SSO) integrations.
- Lead the development of complex internal applications using Retool to streamline team workflows, and provide expert guidance to teammates on application creation and best practices.
- Support in the prioritization of the team's backlog of ad hoc work and bugs. You will work with internal stakeholders to prioritize incoming tickets and feature requests, ensuring the team is focused on the highest-value, highest-impact work.
- Lead and own the delivery of large-scale data integration projects in tools such as Retool, from end-to-end. Provide technical oversight, break down complex tasks, and manage project uncertainties.
- Drive team growth by consistently mentoring and coaching teammates, sharing technical expertise, and empowering their individual and collective skill advancement.
- Consistently demonstrate a strong ability to work with and guide teammates in defining clarity from incomplete information, unclear requirements, or evolving situations to move complex projects forward.
- Consistently relay information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, and effectively support teammates in enhancing their communication abilities.
- 2-3+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
- Expert proficiency in SQL for complex querying, stored procedures, performance tuning, and deep data analysis.
- Strong hands-on experience with Ruby and Ruby-on-Rails is highly preferred for development and system analysis.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal).
- Experience with version control using Git.
- Experience with commonly used AWS services, like S3 and RDS.
- Experience with working in the K12 Education environment and hands-on experience with Student Information systems (SISes) is highly desired.
