About the team: 

The Data Analytics Team plays a pivotal role with decision making across the company. The team collaborates with Data scientists, leaders from Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product organizations. The team provides continuous learning opportunities, while being aligned with the company’s goals. We have an open culture, where knowledge sharing and exchange of ideas are encouraged.

About the Job:

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the changes that impact the business revenue and margin
  • Detect trends, identify opportunities, and provide actionable insights to department leaders allowing them to make informed data-driven decisions to drive the core business.
  • Conceptualize and maintain KPIs and reports.
  • Develop standardized dashboards through deep data analysis and ad hoc reports to inform business decisions, with an emphasis on automation and scalability.


With a strong understanding of data analysis techniques, great problem solving skills, and a love for data mining, you will transform large amounts of data into actionable insights and communicate complex data findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills/Experience you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computers or related quantitative field.
  • 4-8 years of experience as a Data Analyst.
  • Strong Statistical analysis, Python (libraries), SQL, and Excel skills.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and interest in building data models for consumer behavior and business metrics.
  • Experience developing and maintaining reports using data visualization tools.

Skills/Experience preferred:

  • Skilled at using Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
  • Proficient in statistical methods, including confidence intervals and hypothesis testing.
  • Experience with tracking and analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Optimizely.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines while balancing business needs and data constraints.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (Jira) and version control systems (Gitlab)

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Nevada, Rhode Island, Washington, and New York City residents* $135,500 - $200,000 + RSUs + benefits.

Salary at SmartAsset is determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the contiguous United States.
