Sr Business Unit Project Coordinator

The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

What You’ll Be Doing
Under general supervision, responsible for independently coordinating and driving business unit (BU) projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and operational priorities. The Sr BU Project Coordinator partners with BU leadership to deliver impactful results, enhance efficiency, and implement localized process improvements. This role acts as a key liaison between the BU and other departments, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and timely delivery of initiatives within the scope of the business unit.
  • Coordinate and oversee BU-level projects, ensuring goals, deliverables, and success criteria are defined and achieved in alignment with departmental objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource assignments, tracking progress against milestones and proactively addressing risks or roadblocks.
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments by serving as the BU’s primary liaison, ensuring priorities are communicated, dependencies are managed, and timelines are met.
  • Anticipate and identify opportunities for BU-level process improvements; propose and implement scalable solutions that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and adaptability.
  • Manage data collection, analysis, and reporting to evaluate project performance and inform decision-making.
  • Partner with BU leadership to develop, update, and maintain process documentation (e.g., SOPs), ensuring changes are communicated and supported with training or change management as needed.
  • Lead BU project meetings by preparing agendas and materials, facilitating discussions, and ensuring action items are tracked and completed.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced coordinators or teammembers in support of BU project execution.

Additional Job Functions
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5-7 years of prior related experience required
  • Participation in the CA DMV pull program may be required depending on assignment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of project coordination practices and ability to apply them to BU initiatives.
  • Strong skills in coordinating resources, timelines, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to prepare reports and facilitate meetings.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and contribute to efficiency within BU projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
