About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst II – Systems to join our growing Financial Systems team. This role is critical in supporting the evolution, optimization, and day-to-day management of our financial systems—most notably our Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tool—and the processes they enable.

As a key member of the FP&A organization, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance budgeting, forecasting, and reporting workflows. You will be responsible for system administration and configuration, end-user support and training, documentation, and the successful delivery of projects and enhancements that improve efficiency and data integrity across the organization.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with a deep interest in systems and technology. You are detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and excel at solving complex problems. You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and change, and you’re energized by opportunities to make meaningful improvements that drive business value.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and enhance scalable, cross-functional financial models and reporting processes, partnering closely with FP&A stakeholders to support key planning cycles including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), forecasts, and monthly/quarterly reporting.

  • Audit, validate, and improve data integrity across financial systems by designing controls, investigating anomalies, and working directly with business users and process owners to ensure high-quality outputs and confidence in reported metrics.

  • Support and drive system evolution initiatives, such as EPM upgrades, ERP integrations, and new configuration rollouts; participate in all phases of the system development lifecycle including requirements gathering, testing, training, and go-live support.

  • Maintain and evolve all documentation related to financial systems, including end-user training materials, system configuration requirements, and process guides to support knowledge sharing and business continuity.

  • Oversee and contribute to financial systems projects, managing timelines, deliverables, stakeholder communication, and risk mitigation. Lead testing and change management efforts for major system updates, integrations, and configuration changes.

  • Lead, manage, and review financial systems operations, including data import from ERP to EPM platform, as well as company-wide headcount reconciliation processes.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration across FP&A, Accounting, Data & Analytics, and other key teams to successfully plan, coordinate, and execute projects and process improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial systems, FP&A, or business systems roles, with a strong track record of driving system improvements and supporting complex planning and reporting processes.

  • Proficiency in enterprise financial applications, including NetSuite ERP, Workday HCM, Snowflake, Tableau; experience maintaining Workday Adaptive Planning or similar EPM tools is a strong plus.

  • Solid foundation in financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and accounting principles, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for business stakeholders.

  • Advanced Excel capabilities and financial modeling skills; familiarity with Power Query, SQL, or similar data tools a plus.

  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail, with a proactive mindset toward process efficiency and problem-solving.

  • Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects, delivering accurate and timely results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical thinking, communication, and organizational skills, with a proactive mindset and ability to manage change while considering downstream impacts on systems, data flows, and business processes.

Bonus Points:

  • Workday Adaptive Planning certification is a plus.

  • Experience working for a high-tech, rapid-growth, or publicly traded SAAS company is preferred.

  • EPM consultancy or EPM implementation experience a plus.

  • Dashboarding, report-building, and other query-driven (SQL) experience preferred.

  • PMP certification or expertise in project management a plus.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
