The Role
Reporting to the SVP of Technology Operations, the Senior Business & Data Analyst is a hands-on role responsible for building analytics and dashboards, supporting vendor management processes, and performing financial analysis across the product and engineering organization. This individual will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Marketing & Sales Operations, and Procurement to deliver insights that drive operational efficiency, product health, and cost optimization.
This is an analytics-first role with a strong cross-functional focus — ideal for someone who thrives on turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that support executive and board-level decisions. An openness to leveraging emerging technologies, including AI-enabled analytics tools, is highly valued.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and recurring reporting packages that highlight Product and Engineering’s financial and operational performance.
- Develop PLG reporting and product health dashboards that support recurring product and business reviews.
- Partner with Product, Sales Ops, and Marketing Ops teams to deliver cross-functional analytics that support strategic initiatives.
- Create polished, executive-ready reports and presentations that communicate insights to senior leadership and the board.
- Automate recurring reporting processes to improve accuracy and reduce manual effort. Explore opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency through AI-powered tools and automation.
- Ensure strong data hygiene and governance across all reporting sources.
- Act as Engineering’s liaison with the company’s Procurement function, shepherding vendor renewals and new tool requests through corporate processes.
- Maintain accurate records of Engineering’s vendor contracts, renewal dates, and usage data.
- Support SVP in high-value vendor negotiations such as with cloud service providers and other key vendors.
- Provide spend and usage insights to Procurement and Finance during renewal or negotiation cycles.
- Support proactive vendor management by tracking ownership, usage, and spend of Engineering’s tool stack.
- Conduct financial analyses to support investment evaluation, profitability analysis, and scenario planning.
- Partner with Finance, Procurement, and Engineering to identify cost savings opportunities, such as vendor consolidation, license optimization, and usage efficiency.
- Contribute to the preparation of executive-ready materials by translating financial and operational data into clear narratives.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4–6 years of experience in business analytics, data analysis or financial analysis, within SaaS/technology.
- Strong experience with Power BI (or equivalent BI tools) for dashboards and data visualization.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large, complex data sets.
- Familiarity with vendor management or procurement-related processes.
- Proficiency with Excel and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare polished reports and presentations for senior audiences.
- Familiarity with AI-driven analytics or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI Copilot, SQL assistants) is a plus.

- Exposure to cloud financial management (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- FinOps Foundation knowledge or certification.
- SaaS, cybersecurity, or enterprise software background.
- Hands-on and detail-oriented, with a data-driven mindset.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong collaborator across Engineering, Product Management, Finance, and Procurement.
