About Niche
Niche is the leader in school search. Our mission is to make researching and enrolling in schools easy, transparent, and free. With in-depth profiles on every school and college in America, 140 million reviews and ratings, and powerful search tools, we help millions of people find the right school for them. We also help thousands of schools recruit more best-fit students, by highlighting what makes them great and making it easier to visit and apply.
Niche is all about finding where you belong, and that mission inspires how we operate every day. We want Niche to be a place where people truly enjoy working and can thrive professionally.
About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Content Strategy, the Senior B2B Content Marketing Manager will play a key role in elevating Niche’s brand by planning and producing expert content that engages our audience of K–12 and higher education professionals. From blog articles, white papers, and e-books to short-form videos, your work will span multiple formats and channels.
The ideal candidate is a creative and curious storyteller with a results-driven mindset and a passion for building audiences. You’re someone who’s just as comfortable writing a blog post as you are jumping on camera for a brief video or hosting a webinar. You embrace new formats and tools (including AI) to improve your work, collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, and can manage a roster of freelancers. Experience in B2B edtech content marketing is highly desirable.
What You Will Do
During the First Month:
- Onboarding & Training: Meet the team, attend onboarding sessions, and get up to speed on tools like WordPress and Asana.
- Collaboration & Introductions: Connect with Communications, B2B Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to understand products, tools, and key stakeholders.
- First Projects: Draft and publish a piece of content, and pitch new content ideas to learn the production process.
Within 3 Months:
- Strategic Planning: Partner with the Head of Content Strategy and cross-functional teams to draft next quarter’s B2B content plan.
- Leveraging Buyer Insights: Deepen your understanding of our audience by developing Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and identifying buyer pain points to inform and shape relevant, impactful content.
- Trend & Competitor Analyses: Stay on top of industry trends and competitor moves in K–12 and higher ed to inform strategy with timely insights.
Within 6 - 12 Months:
- Content Strategy & Creation: Develop high-quality, conversion-focused content (articles, videos, landing pages) that aligns with our brand and drives measurable outcomes (e.g., MQLs/SQLs).
- Content Repurposing: Expand the reach of long-form content by adapting it into short-form assets for social, email, webinars, and more.
- Content Reach: Work with SEO, Web, and Creative teams to optimize content for discoverability and engagement.
- Campaign Development: Partner with Product, Sales, Creative, and Marketing to craft messaging and content that supports campaigns and reinforces Niche’s distinct value.
- Video & Webinar Leadership: Bring experience and enthusiasm for being in front of the camera for videos, webinars, etc.
- Innovation & Experimentation: Explore new storytelling formats and ideas to keep content fresh, engaging, and differentiated.
- Measurement & Iteration: Analyze performance metrics on an ongoing basis to evaluate content effectiveness and inform future strategy.
- Company & Industry Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of Niche’s products, value, and the broader education landscape to create informed, impactful content.
What We Are Looking For
- B2B Content Experience: You have 7+ years of experience creating and executing content strategies in B2B environments, ideally within SaaS or edtech.
- Industry Savvy: Familiarity with the education sector, especially K–12 and/or higher ed, is a strong plus. You understand the key players, pain points, and trends shaping the space.
- Exceptional Writing Chops: You craft compelling narratives, write in a conversational tone, and know how to grab attention with sharp, effective copy and headlines.
- Multi-Channel Content Creation: You’re comfortable developing content across formats—from articles and e-books to video scripts and customer stories—and tailoring it for different audiences, channels, and use cases.
- SEO Knowledge: You understand SEO best practices and how to integrate them into content without sacrificing voice or clarity, and are eager to do the same for AEO.
- Collaborative Spirit: You thrive on cross-functional teams, working closely with Creative, Product, and Marketing partners to bring content to life.
- Data-Informed Mindset: You know how to interpret content performance metrics and use insights to optimize future work.
- Strong Project Management: You’re organized, deadline-driven, and adept at managing content calendars and coordinating input from multiple stakeholders.
- Curiosity & Creativity: You’re eager to learn, open to feedback, and always looking for new ways to tell stories and drive engagement.
