Senior Authorizer
Description:
Receive telephone calls from service provides as well as homeowners regarding service claims. Evaluate claims using company guidelines and a knowledge of CCHS contracts to determine the claim decision and dollar amount of the repair. Use technical knowledge and field experience to assist and support lower level authorizers in the area of quality and technical assistance. Handle problematic or complex claims.
Summary Of Responsibilities:
- Receive and process requests for claim approvals via fax, email and incoming phone calls from service providers. Review and negotiate claim approvals and requests to insure that materials and labor costs are equitable. Handle and/or assist other authorizers and department management with problematic or complex claims. Mentor other authorizers and provided training as needed. Will assist the Claims Specialists and Management in providing technical review of claim disputes, suites and business-to-business complaints.
- Research and purchase parts and equipment for claims resolution. Accurately update and maintain parts and equipment data within the inventory system.
- Responsible for completing assigned tasks from the daily task queue.
Qualifications/Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred technical certificate.
- 2-year customer service environment
- Experience with job costing and purchasing process
- Strong data entry and typing skills
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to perform with minimal supervision
- Strong time management – ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
