About the Role:The Senior IT Business Analyst works closely with IT Business Partners to define and document key processes, requirements, knowledge articles, and user documentation. The Senior IT Business Analyst will work both on projects, as a critical team member, and with operational teams to identify communication and training to help ease the introduction of new technologies and to further improve operational processes. This role includes both project-based work and operational support, with a strong focus on enabling and optimizing commercial systems, data, and processes.

  • Collaborate with Business and IT Business Partners to define and document business processes and requirements, including data flow, storage, application usability, reporting, and analytics
  • Collaborate with commercial stakeholders to define requirements across systems supporting sales, marketing, and related data domains, ensuring alignment across upstream and downstream systems
  • Participate on project teams and lead small projects to support application implementation, administration, and maintenance
  • Support project management in the implementation of technology solutions according to Neurocrine’s software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Evaluate and recommend process improvements and support the development of processes necessary for successful implementation of key software systems
  • Define, coordinate, and conduct system integration testing to ensure solutions meet requirements and specifications
  • Develop training materials, "How To's," and knowledge items to facilitate user adoption of new technology
  • Evaluate and implement additional technologies to enhance the quality of systems across all departments
  • Consult with department representatives to determine data access, reporting, and interface requirements
  • Maintain ongoing communication with department managers to ensure successful implementation of data management and interface tools
  • Conduct data quality analysis as needed for source systems
  • Define standard operating procedures and perform regular reviews for systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Requirements:

  • BS degree in computer science, IT, or similar field and 4+ years of relevant IT Business Analyst experience. Experience supporting in Biotech/pharmaceutical strongly preferred OR
  • Master’s degree in computer science, IT, or similar field and 2+ years of similar experience noted above
  • Demonstrated experience supporting commercial functions (e.g., sales operations, marketing, market access) and the systems and data that enable them
  • Experience working with commercial data, including understanding data flows, integrations, and reporting across multiple systems
  • Familiarity with commercial technology ecosystems (e.g., CRM platforms, promotional materials management, medical/commercial content systems)
  • Experience gathering and documenting requirements for system integrations and data interfaces
  • Understanding of data quality considerations and governance within commercial environments
  • Exposure to common pharmaceutical commercial platforms (e.g., CRM or content management systems) is beneficial but not required
  • Demonstrated experience in Commercial Pharmaceutical operations and technologies preferred
  • Able to communicate technical information and work with all levels within the organization ability to be highly organized, self-motivated with the capability to prioritize projects and workload
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills, including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility
  • Excellent skills in defining and documenting processes, requirements, and training materials
  • Understands key business drivers and uses this understanding to accomplish work
  • Has strong understanding of processes, procedures and systems used to accomplish the work and recognizes downstream impact on other functional areas
  • Proficient with tools and processes that support work conducted by functional area
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Has strong communications, problem-solving, analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
  • Has strong project management skills

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $103,300.00-$141,000.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
