As a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will design, implement, and manage complex electromechanical actuation systems, driving innovation, safety, and efficiency.

You will report to the Sr. Engineering Program Manager and work out of our Tempe site on a hybrid work schedule. Please note that the new hires are expected to work fully onsite for the first 90 days.

Key Responsibilities

  • System and Component Requirements analysis and decomposition
  • Mechanical Systems design and component controller integration
  • Electro-Mechanical System and Component Modeling and Analysis
  • Control architecture and design
  • Physics based model development and system design
  • Root cause and corrective action planning and execution
  • Mechanical Systems validation & verification
  • Customer technical interface
  • Effective delegation of work to team members
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering systems experience. 

WE VALUE

  • Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree  
  • Knowledge of the systems and component development lifecycles
  • Experience with systems requirement flow down
  • Experience with systems requirement V&V 
  • Experience with DOORs
  • Experience developing RCCA plans and execution, with demonstrated results.
  • Experience developing motor driven actuation systems
  • Experience with aircraft ECS component development and system integration.
  • Experience with implementing control architecture in electronic controller applications
  • Experience with Real Time hardware in the loop controller development
  • Control theory basics (block diagram representations of nonlinear and linearized systems, frequency response, gain and phase margins, time constants and interactions, etc.
  • Systems simulation (proficiency with Matlab/Simulink and Excel or other performance modeling software) 
  • Thermodynamics experience
  • Fluid dynamics experience
  • Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts.
  • Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
  • Effective communicator
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
  • Ability to adapt dictated by project changes
  • Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks.
