As a Senior Advanced Mechanical Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, integrating, and delivering complex systems that power next-generation aerospace technologies.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement solutions that combine hardware, software, and networked systems. Your technical expertise, leadership, and systems thinking will directly influence product success and customer outcomes.
You will report directly to our Systems Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Torrance, CA location on a Hybrid work schedule. Please note that the new hires are expected to work onsite for the first 90 days.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead system architecture, design, and integration for complex aerospace systems
- Drive end-to-end systems engineering activities, including requirements flow-down, design, verification, and validation
- Provide technical leadership across:
- Control systems integration
- Test and development equipment
- Field issue investigation and resolution
- Collaborate effectively with:
- Multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Program and project management organizations
- Internal and external stakeholders and customers
- Ensure designs align with Honeywell Aerospace quality standards and industry best practices
- Own technical problem-solving efforts, delivering innovative and scalable solutions
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
- Support project execution, ensuring scope, schedule, and performance targets are met
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical systems engineering

COMPENSATION OVERVIEW
The annual base salary range for this position is $133,000-167,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
