We’re looking for a Senior Accountant who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about precision, compliance, and continuous improvement.

 

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting and supporting the strength of our insurance operations. From leading close processes to preparing statutory financial statements, your expertise will help drive informed decision making across the organization!

 

Location: Corporate Office in South Sioux City, Nebraska (hybrid work schedule)

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements and related insurance schedules

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP)

  • Support and coordinate internal and external audit processes

  • Partner cross-functionally to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency

  • Mentor and develop accounting team members, fostering growth and excellence

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 5+ years progressive accounting experience
  • CPA strongly preferred

  • Insurance or statutory accounting experience strongly preferred

  • Experience with financial statement preparation and audit coordination

  • Leadership mindset with the ability to mentor and guide team members

  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
