As financial reporting senior accountant you are a crucial team player who contributes to the team’s objective of timely and accurate financial reporting. You are responsible for your assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting tasks as well as ad-hoc or special projects that arise, which are typical given the regulated nature of statutory financial reporting.
What You'll Do:
You will coordinate and prepare the organization’s annual audited financial statements.
You’ll work cross-functionally with Investments, Tax, Payroll, Benefits, and Legal departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the annual audited financial statements.
You will coordinate with the external auditors to ensure timely completion of the audits associated with the annual audited financial statements.
You’ll assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual insurance regulatory filings.
You will prepare monthly financial reporting package of affiliated company.
You’ll prepare annual regulatory analyses and reports supporting the insurance entities within the organization.
You will assist with research and analysis of new US GAAP and Statutory basis accounting pronouncements, related processes, and disclosure requirements.
You’ll research, prepare, and present analysis of new accounting pronouncements to Executive Management and the potential impact to the organization on a quarterly basis.
You will work with Executive Management on significant initiatives and provide input and analysis to ensure financial statement impacts are properly evaluated.
You’ll assist in analyzing and documenting current accounting practices and implementing improvements to policies, procedures, and the financial reporting processes
What You'll Need:
BS degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
Active CPA license, or at least 1 CPA exam section passed with the intention to complete all remaining exam sections, is preferred but not required.
At least 3 years of progressive and relevant accounting experience, with Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting experience in auditing preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently with Executive Management in the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
Strong analytical and organization skills with willingness to work extra hours to meet deadlines. Experience working in a heavy deadline driven environment.

The starting pay range for this position is:
$90,400.00 - $120,300.00Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
