Sr. Accountant
About the Role:
GoodRx is seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our Accounting team. The Sr. Accountant will be tasked with ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of accounting records, including period-end close, accruals, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be a self-directed, team player working in a fast-paced environment. This individual will report to the Sr. Manager, Accounting and will work closely with accounting, marketing, and other departments across the organization. This is a key role within the Accounting team and provides a great opportunity for professional growth.
Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as part of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
Conduct period-over-period variance analyses and provide clear, conclusive explanations for fluctuations
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and assist in ongoing control documentation and development
Manage marketing vendor spend in compliance with GAAP, while ensuring variances to departmental budgets are explained
Assist with aspects of the annual financial audit, including preparing requested schedules and supporting documentation
Regularly collaborate with non-accounting functions, including sales, marketing, operations and engineering teams, to gather pertinent information to drive timely and accurate financial reporting to leadership teams
Assist with continuous process improvement, including with the implementation and testing of new financial systems/software
Maintain the highest quality of accounting activities across entities: month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, consolidation, financial reporting, etc.
Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting in support of executives and other departments, as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
CPA license or working towards a CPA is preferred
Minimum of 5 years of related experience required for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3 years of related experience required for candidates with a Master’s degree; 3+ years of Big 4 public accounting or public company corporate accounting experience preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience working with financial accounting software (NetSuite, BlackLine, FloQast, etc.) is a plus
Exposure to SOX 404b testing and understanding of COSO framework
Excellent Excel and analytical skills, including vlookups, pivot tables, etc.
Extremely organized and autonomous
Strong attention to detail
Business-minded with superb communication skills
Comfortable in a dynamic and fast-moving organization

The pay ranges below are shown as a guideline, and the successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and other relevant business and organizational factors.
