aytm (Ask Your Target Market) is growing our new business team by adding a Senior Account Executive, Enterprise Sales.  This is a great opportunity with a growing company in the market research industry that has a winning AI strategy, effective blend of sophisticated technology with human expertise and leadership keen on growth.


Qualified candidates must have a proven track record selling annual consumer insights platform subscriptions to large CPG, QSR, Consumer Technology, Telecommunications, Financial Services, Travel & Tourism, and other related brands who value consumer insights and market research.  Your success will come as an individual contributor driving the entire new business sales process selling into Enterprise accounts in North America, Latin America, the UK and Western Europe.

Responsibilities

Qualified candidates will be able to demonstrate deep skill, experience and measurable success across responsibilities including:

  • New Business Development & Hunting: Identify and target potential enterprise clients, focusing on pre-opportunity hunting and developing strategies to penetrate key targets and expand our market presence.  This includes Account Planning & Stakeholder engagement. You are an expert at account mapping and stakeholder identification to build strong relationships with key stakeholders including influencers, champions, economic buyers and others within target organizations to facilitate long-term partnerships.  You actively use social media, email, phones and live events to engage and develop contacts.
  • Full Sales Cycle Management: Lead the sales cycle from initial outreach to closing deals, ensuring a thorough understanding of client needs and delivering tailored solutions. This includes:
    • qualification using a MEDDPICC framework to conduct world-class discovery from research prior to first contract through to contract signature
    • Solution Demonstration: Effectively demo our insights platform using information collected during discovery to tailor the demo solution for each prospect and persona, and effectively articulate its value proposition to prospective clients.
    • Commercial Negotiation : prepare compelling proposals that address the decision criteria of your stakeholders, negotiate contracts, overcome obstacles and drive deals through the sales cycle.  
    • Run effective pilots when needed, setting pilot project success factors to help prospects build the business case they need to convert to an annual subscription customer.
  • CRM Management: You use your Salesforce CRM as a sales asset, ensuring are tracked every opportunity across the entire cycle.  All deal data in the Salesforce is updated at all times with clear history and next steps.  You are particularly focused on setting realistic close dates, deal stage, amounts and likelihood to win.  You are expert at providing accurate sales forecasts and reports to management, tracking progress against goals and identifying areas for improvement.  You see this work not as a chore but as an essential part of the role that makes you a better performer.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise Market Research sales, with a proven track record of hunting new business and exceeding sales targets.  You understand the buying dynamics of consumer insights organizations, know how to engage all roles including end user researchers, budget owners, Centers of Excellence and non-insights stakeholders in procurement, finance and directly in brand marketing.
  • Track record of consistently achieving a $1mm+ quota in Market Research new business sales.
  • Proven success conducting effective discovery by leveraging the MEDDPICC sales qualification methodology.
  • Market Research platform sales background, with hybrid usage-based SaaS model preferred
  • Advanced user of modern tech sales stack including salesforce CRM, gong deal analytics and forecasting, outbound sequence software, LinkedIn Navigator and other tools.
  • Ability to travel regularly for work including actively representing aytm at conferences and trade shows, meeting prospects and customers face to face for sales meetings and relationship building, and occasionally internal meet ups.
