The Marketing Intern supports Workiva’s Marketing philosophy by executing projects, coordinating details, and working cross-functionally across teams. This role provides hands-on experience across campaign execution, analytics, content creation, events, partner marketing, and growth initiatives, depending on the team you support.
What You'll Do – based on the assigned team
Paid Media
Assist with managing digital paid media channels and campaign launches
Support optimizations and bidding management in collaboration with the activation team
Monitor performance metrics and maintain reporting dashboards
Contribute to ongoing analysis to identify opportunities for improved ROI
Field Marketing
Collaborate with regional teams to support field campaigns and customer programs
Help coordinate logistics for webinars, workshops, and field events
Track program success metrics and assist with post-event reporting
Provide project management support to ensure campaign deliverables are met
Content Marketing
Optimize, refresh, and retire content as part of ongoing audit work
Formalize, refine, and add to the team’s AI prompt library to improve efficiency
Support monthly newsletter writing, compilation, and distribution
Assist with podcast projects, including writing episode summaries and building resource/YouTube pages
Take on day-to-day content tasks to free up team members for more strategic campaign work
Event Marketing
Build and maintain event registration pages
Support project management in Monday.com to track event deliverablesAssist with event preparation decks and attendee communications
Create name badges and update event calendars
Provide logistical and administrative support for upcoming events
Marketing Pro Groups
Research, plan, and execute venue selection, collateral, and workshop/event logistics
Assist with managing vendor relationships and supporting program operations within budget guidelines
Execute marketing activities to promote Pro Group initiatives and workshops
Ingest and organize data from Pro Group-specific sources (e.g., On24, Higher Logic, Credly, Hootsuite, Qualtrics)
Support the development of the annual member feedback survey and analyze results to provide insights
Partner Marketing
Support program reporting through monthly updates, research, and new reporting opportunities
Assist with website builds, including partner profile pages, marketplace listings, and information audits
Contribute to partner communications by drafting content, preparing lists in Marketo/RightWave, managing the partner Google calendar, and gathering content for the partner newsletterHelp coordinate virtual partner events, including monthly webinars, from planning through execution
Support sponsorship sales and deliverables by assisting with communications, registration tracking, FAQs, and deliverable management
PNM Growth Solutions
Build growth-related business cases to support new opportunities
Activate business cases in collaboration with sales enablement teams
Research market trends and provide insights to strengthen go-to-market strategies
Assist with developing materials and presentations to communicate growth initiatives
What You'll Need
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications, or a related program
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Self-motivated with a strong propensity for action, results, and continuous improvement
Ability to work successfully in a high-energy, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure
Creativity, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills

Up to 10% travel
