Our Associate program is a paid opportunity that allows participants to contribute to the organization’s success while applying learning from the classroom. This semester will be fully in-person. Associates are responsible for their individual transportation and housing needs.  


Associate Expectations: 

Associates are expected to work 24-29.9 hours per week during the session. While assigned to a specific division, they will have opportunities to learn about other areas within Excel through lunch and learns held throughout the semester.  


Important Dates:   

Our Spring Program runs from Tuesday, January 20th, 2026 through Friday, May 15th, 2026.


Office Hours:   

  • 8:00 am‐5:00 PM PST, Monday-Friday OR as agreed upon with advisor.  Days in office must be coordinated with Advisor’s schedules. 

Our Associates must:  

  • Be available to work under 30 hours per week.
  • Be available to report to Irvine office approximately 3-days a week.
  • Have a senior standing in college (must have completed your junior year of undergrad).

OR 

  • Be enrolled in graduate school

OR

  • Have a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree

Interview Process:   

  • Applications will close on November 21st, 2025
  • If selected, the expectation is that offers will be extended early December. 
  • The program will begin on January 20th, 2026.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for compiling a list of brands based on what past competitors have done in terms of seeding, and initiating outreach to those brands for gifting
  • Responsible for assembling gift packages, shipments, and all other responsibilities in relation to the manual gifting/product send-out process
  • Responsible for researching markets, brands that are activating with talent. Will create a list/database with such information pertinent to the group.
  • Responsible for weekly count/inventory of product and Excel Football merch onsite, will assemble inventory list, and report back on where our inventory stands.
  • Responsible for restocking fridges and snacks every morning/night
  • Will assist in tracking social activations with competing agencies and their clients as well as our own clients' social activations, team/league social activations for general coverage.
  • Will assist in outreach, prospecting, lead consolidation for local food partners, gifting, or other local needs for Excel events (Slideout, Player Camps, etc.)
  • Help update and create athlete profiles for EPKs (with input from marketing managers), develop an outline which can be used to create profiles on a more consistent/timely basis

The pay for this position is $16.90 per hour. Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the California and New York City Salary Transparency Law.
