Job Summary

We’re looking for a Sports Card Sourcing Manager to lead and scale our sports card acquisition strategy across shows, dealers, and new product verticals. This role sits at the center of our sports ecosystem—connecting sourcing, vault operations, marketing, grading, and product to ensure we bring in the right inventory and consistently deliver value to our customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage the sourcing of sports cards across card shows, events, and a national dealer network.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with dealers, vendors, and collectors to ensure a steady pipeline of high-quality sports inventory.
  • Negotiate purchases, secure competitive pricing, and evaluate opportunities for bulk buys and strategic acquisitions.
  • Work closely with the Vault Operations team to ensure smooth intake, cataloging, and storage of newly sourced sports cards.
  • Partner with internal teams to forecast inventory needs and replenish high-demand categories.
  • Manage the grading submission pipeline, ensuring cards are submitted efficiently and returned on timelines that support product releases.
  • Evaluate raw card quality at the point of sourcing, ensuring a healthy flow of gradable inventory.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Growth teams to identify inventory needed for campaigns, promotions, and key calendar moments.
  • Partner with Product to help identify new sports product opportunities—from curated sets to marketplace expansions.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in sports card sourcing, collectibles buying, trading, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of the sports card market, grading standards, major sets, and modern hobby trends.
  • Comfortable negotiating deals, evaluating card conditions, and working in fast-paced environments.
  • Highly organized with strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
  • A builder mindset—comfortable helping shape processes, categories, and new offerings.
  • Stay on top of trends in sports cards, athlete performance, card values, grading trends, and collector behavior.
  • Travel occasionally (10–20%) to major shows, events, and dealer visits to source inventory and represent the brand.

What You’ll Get In Return

  • A dynamic and engaging environment focused on fostering real growth and innovation
  • Opportunities to create amazing products that our customers truly love and value
  • Comprehensive health insurance packages with dependent coverage
  • Competitive salary with ample opportunities for career advancement and development
  • Enjoy the flexibility of a fully remote work environment
  • 401(k) plan with a 4% employer match to help you plan for the future
  • $100 monthly dogfooding stipend to support trying out our products firsthand
  • Access to employee wellness programs designed to support your overall well-being

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
