About the Role:

Our Specialty Accounts team members are experts in a variety of accounts such as IRAs, Estates, HSAs, and Trusts. These individuals also work on the fiduciary and deceased accounts at Connexus and work with our members with any maintenance needed. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining and closing Individual Retirement Accounts; ensures that all requests comply with applicable laws, rules and regulations; assist new and current members with IRA transactions such as contributions, distributions, transfers, rollovers & conversions.

  • Responsible for all aspects of deceased member accounts, including communicating with survivors to obtain necessary documentation and complying with applicable laws with respect to the wishes of the estate administrator or personal representative.

  • Responsible for assisting members with the funding of new Health Savings Accounts; assisting new and current members with HSA transactions such as contributions, distributions, transfers, rollovers & conversions.

  • Responsible for the review and maintenance of member trust, business, organizational, guardian, rep payee, custodian, and estate accounts (includes all specialty accounts).

  • Assist with training and questions regarding specialty accounts within the Member Services department and all other departments effected by Specialty Accounts including presenting informational topics and training at Member Services Meetings, providing training material for the Learning Hub and notifying effected departments of procedural changes pertaining to them.

  • Responsible for verifying and auditing specialty account forms and transactions done by other individuals.

  • Responsible for reviewing and verifying documents pertaining to specialty accounts including Certificate of Trust, POA, Probate, Business, Custodial, Guardianship & Rep payee documents.

  • Remains informed and knowledgeable on all credit union products and services this includes participating in job related educational programs.

Position Requirements:

  • This position is Remote.

  • 1+ years of related experience is Required.

  • Uses normal courtesy and workplace professionalism. Interacts with co-workers and members. Demonstrates behaviors that support our values and culture.

  • IRA and HSA certifications, preferred with the ability to acquire certifications in the future.

  • Evidence of the ability to organize work and establish priorities as well as demonstrate a thorough understanding of financial products, member services and operations procedures.

  • Knowledge of IRAs and HSAs including applicable laws, rules and regulations.

  • Ability to make informed decisions on the authenticity of documents pertaining to Specialty Accounts and how to proceed with the opening and maintenance of these accounts.
