Let’s talk about the team

You’ll be part of the Marketing Technology team — a cross-functional group responsible for shaping the enterprise marketing technology ecosystem. The team drives innovation, integration, and governance across platforms such as CRM, CDP, Marketing Automation, and Analytics, enabling personalized and data-driven customer engagement at scale.

Together with partners in Technology, Privacy, and Information Security, the team ensures our data infrastructure supports compliant, intelligent, and high-impact marketing programs across all global channels.

Let’s talk about the role

As the CDP Strategic Leader (Senior Manager), you will define and oversee the strategy, adoption framework, and governance of our Customer Data Platform. You’ll play a pivotal role in enabling data-driven personalization, segmentation, and activation — ensuring that our CDP evolves into a core enabler of connected customer experiences.

You will guide how customer data is collected, unified, and activated across touchpoints, aligning technology capabilities with business priorities. Working closely with InfoSec, Privacy, Data, and Marketing teams, you’ll help establish best practices for data integrity, compliance, and scalable activation while developing the long-term roadmap for CDP success from a MarTech perspective.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the strategic vision and roadmap for the Customer Data Platform to support marketing and business objectives.

  • Develop and maintain the CDP adoption framework, ensuring alignment with enterprise data governance and privacy standards.

  • Lead the segmentation and audience strategy, enabling precise targeting, personalization, and measurement across channels.

  • Identify and prioritize data sources for integration into the CDP, ensuring relevance to marketing use cases and compliance requirements.

  • Partner with MarTech, CRM, and Analytics teams to design scalable data flows between systems (CRM, SFMC, eCommerce, etc.).

  • Collaborate with InfoSec and Privacy teams to uphold data protection, consent management, and ethical data practices.

  • Manage external vendors and implementation partners to ensure delivery of business and technical outcomes.

  • Define KPIs and success metrics to measure data activation efficiency, segmentation accuracy, and campaign effectiveness in partnership with Marketing Analytics team.

  • Stay informed on emerging trends in CDP, data privacy, and identity resolution to guide platform evolution and innovation.

  • Work closely with InfoSec and Privacy teams to maintain adherence to GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and other data regulations.

  • Drive organizational enablement and training to increase adoption and maturity of CDP capabilities across teams.

  • Champion innovation in data utilization, personalization, and marketing efficiency.

Let’s talk about you

You’re a strategic thinker who bridges the gap between business vision and technical execution. You’re passionate about data as a driver of personalized experiences and are comfortable managing complex data ecosystems. You thrive in cross-functional settings, guiding both marketers and technologists toward unified goals.

You combine deep understanding of data platforms and governance with the ability to translate business needs into scalable activation strategies.

Qualifications and Experience Required
  • 10+ years’ experience in data strategy, marketing technology, or digital transformation roles.

  • Proven success in leading CDP or customer data unification projects (e.g., Salesforce Data Cloud, HighTouch, or similar).

  • Strong understanding of data architecture, identity resolution, and audience activation across marketing channels.

  • Hands-on experience in defining segmentation frameworks and data integration roadmaps.

  • Solid knowledge of privacy, consent, and compliance regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).

  • Experience collaborating with InfoSec, Privacy, and Technology teams in enterprise environments.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, vendor oversight, and communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
