The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for planning, development, and execution of marketing and communications initiatives that advance the organization’s brand, programs, and stakeholder engagement. This role ensures consistent, high-quality messaging across channels and helps achieve marketing goals through creative, tactical, and measurable efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing and Communications Support
• Support market research and data analysis to inform campaigns and measure effectiveness.
• Prepare marketing materials, presentations, and collateral for internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate with external vendors, agencies, and partners to deliver campaigns and promotions.
• Draft, edit, and distribute internal and external communications, including social media content and website content.
• Monitor social media coverage, respond to social media comments and compile reports on impact and engagement metrics.
Experience
• 1-2 years experience working in communications, marketing, and/or public relations.
• Agency experience an asset.
Knowledge/Competencies/Skills
• Knowledge of branding, design principles, and public relations practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to tailor messaging for different audiences.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative problem-solving and initiative to support continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with bilingual communications (English and French) is an asset.
