Job Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated individual to join the Content Operations team as a Specialist focused on linear channel operations. Our team is responsible for content management activities that support DISH and Sling's multi-platform video business.
This role has responsibility for operational support of the linear video content that comprises both DISH and Sling's domestic and multicultural video businesses. This role serves as a liaison between our programming partners and the internal business and technical teams; managing linear channel operations and collaborating with individuals at many levels of the organization. In addition to teams such as Content Acquisition, Marketing, Product Management, Advertising Operations, Technical Operations, and Engineering, this individual will work closely with our many programming partners (e.g., Warner Brothers Discovery, NBCUniversal, Disney) and vendors (e.g., Lumen, Nextologies).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the DISH and Sling linear channel life-cycle, including launch, maintenance, and removal activities.
  • Coordinate with programming partners, vendors, and our engineering teams on signal intake, testing, and customer launch. Keep business and engineering stakeholders informed of progress
  • Maintain thorough technical and process documentation for the configuration, integration, and troubleshooting procedures of linear channels
  • Work closely with internal engineering and product management teams to find inefficiencies and inaccuracies, helping to drive innovative process and system enhancements to improve the quality of the services and overall customer experience
  • Create reports and auditing processes to monitor key metrics, interpret results, and seek out areas of concern and opportunity Use lessons learned to improve our products and overall customer experience
  • Develop and implement best practices for the operational management of linear channels across the DISH and Sling video platforms
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize in order to meet deadlines
  • Self-starter with strong project management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple requests, working both independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with management to present information in a professional and effective manner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
  • Knowledge of the pay television industry is a plus

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
