ASAPconnect, a fiscally sponsored project of the Foundation for California Community Colleges (FCCC), aims to enhance out-of-school time learning and enrichment opportunities for children and youth, fostering their development, academic success, and civic readiness. Out-of-school time, also called expanded learning, refers to before school, after school, summer learning, and intersession programs. ASAPconnect’s mission is to expand access to high-quality out-of-school time programs (Pre-Kindergarten – Grade 12) and support technical assistance (TA) providers who, in turn, create safe, supportive environments for staff and students. Aligned with the California Department of Education's Expanded Learning Division Strategic Plan, ASAPconnect supports the System of Support for Expanded Learning (SSEL). The team also directly supports local education agencies and expanded learning program providers.
