The Media Specialist will oversee the daily operations of paid media campaigns for the United States, ensuring both efficiency and effectiveness in national and local media strategies. This includes handling digital and social media purchases internally. In this capacity, the Media Specialist will concentrate on executing and managing campaigns, collaborating closely with the media agency and handling self-service media buying. Additionally, the position entails concluding campaigns by preparing post-campaign reports and reconciling budgets. The role is based in Santa Monica, CA, and reports to the Senior Manager of Advertising Media.

Job Description

MEDIA CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT

Implement integrated and digital media plans for advertising campaigns in collaboration with the media agency and campaign managers. Media touchpoints may include TV, WebTV, Display, Social, Search, Radio, Out-Of-Home Advertising (OOH), and Retail Media Networks across different purchasing models, such as Direct vs. Programmatic.

Be responsible for the daily management of campaigns (whether through an agency or in-house buying) including executional requirements (outlined below), media optimizations, reporting, and budget reconciliation.

Ensure agencies provide insightful, comprehensive post-campaign analyses on schedule, applying the learnings to future campaigns.

Collaborate with the media agency to develop and manage campaign benchmarks on a continuous basis.

Coordinate with internal Campaign Managers to ensure creative materials are produced and delivered according to specifications for media plan execution.

 

BUDGET MANAGEMENT

Manage daily campaign media budgets, ensuring they are optimized for the most effective placements and fully utilized.

Ensure media activity is billed and reconciled accurately and promptly.

Ensure media activities are accurately represented across both planned and reconciled phases in internal Red Bull and agency budget management platforms, collaborating closely with the agency and finance teams.

 

DIGITAL MEDIA STEWARDSHIP

Make sure all digital media campaigns are executed according to Red Bull's requirements.

Utilize and analyze all available data, including first-party (0/1P) and third-party (3P) sources, for media targeting to ensure campaigns adopt an audience-centric strategy.

Stay informed about the latest digital media trends, partners, and emerging technologies to consistently innovate and diversify media plans on a continuous basis.

 

MEDIA TRAINING & EDUCATION

Assist in building the team's expertise across all emerging media channels and adapt to channel evolution based on changing consumer habits.

Foster thought leadership and provide education to ensure that internal Advertising and Brand teams remain consistently ahead in the ever-evolving media landscape.

Qualifications

Media/Advertising Experience: Minimum of 3-5 Years

Experience in advertising for consumer or lifestyle brands; agency experience is desirable

Strong knowledge of all media channels and integrated media planning throughout the marketing funnel (Awareness, Consideration, Conversion, Loyalty)

Practical experience in purchasing across social media and WebTV

Capability to analyze data and extract key insights to enhance future plans

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines

Independent, self-motivated with a results-oriented approach

Capacity to collaborate effectively with campaign managers and agency partners

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Understands and embraces the Red Bull culture and lifestyle

Additional Information

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.

The base salary range for this position is $65,600 – $98,400 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
