Job Summary: This position will be primarily responsible for the identification, development and business capture of SPEAR opportunities associated with the US DoD and Coalition customer base. Areas of focus will initially be next gen live monitoring/debrief systems (SPEAR) for Air and Space domains. Specific duties will involve: 1) developing and capturing business opportunities targeting 4th, 5th, and 6th Generation domestic and worldwide markets; 2) working with both U.S. and non-U.S. manufacturers and industry partners; 3) capture and discretionary budget management. This position will typically work under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise substantial discretionary and decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages business capture in accordance with Cubic Corporation and Cubic Defense policies, procedures and department instructions.

Ensures that associated business plan is achieved through strategic and localized customer engagement strategies, requirements shaping and product specialization for end user needs.

Serves in identification and pursuit of business opportunities using SPEAR with air combat and space training, to include Foreign Military and Direct Commercial Sales.

Leads all elements of assigned capture activities from opportunity identification, interest, pursuit, bid and proposal and post submission requirements.

Plans and directs integration of cross-functional, matrix capture teams from various organizations within the Company to achieve business development aims.

Performs capture financial management to ensure that awards are achieved within budgeted resources.

Performs marketing, trade show and advertisement activities as assigned.

Reviews and approves proposed technical approach, feasibility and customer reactions to proposed solutions with proposal and program management teams.

Uses proven understanding of Coalition training systems acquisition and requirement generation organizations and stakeholders, emerging requirements, combat and technology capabilities, and combined force operations and training to achieve business objectives.

Assists in developing and marketing new training solutions with adjacent business units directed at air, space, and cyber training infrastructure.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Four-year college degree and a minimum of ten years of experience as a fighter/attack aviator; plus, in-depth knowledge of tactical aircraft acquisition practices, requirements generation, and/or test and evaluation activities are required. 

Comprehensive knowledge of aviation training requirements, acquisition methodology and its associated stakeholders.

Familiarity with Coalition aviator and maintenance training, to include recent tactical flight instruction and/or tactics development, weapons instructor course, 5th generation experience, squadron command, and/or SPO/PM experience is desired.

Candidate must possess and demonstrate excellent communication (written and oral) skills, work effectively with all levels of Cubic, industry and military stakeholders, plus be able to utilize Microsoft Office tools in the normal performance of position responsibilities. 

Must be able to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines.

US Citizenship required.

Must have, or be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Must be willing to travel frequently to meet with US DoD and Coalition customers.

$115,000 - $224,301 + benefits.
