About the location:

Overlooking the Venetian Lagoon and just steps from Piazza San Marco, Danieli, a Four Seasons Hotel, Venice is an iconic property offering elegant, spacious accommodations. The historic hotel showcases majestic Venetian architecture dating back to the 14th century. Guests can also enjoy spectacular views of Venice’s landmarks from the rooftop Restaurant Terrazza Danieli.

About the Role

As the Spa Director, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the spa’s operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience that reflects the highest standards of luxury and wellness. You will develop and execute the strategic vision of the spa, overseeing daily operations, financial performance, and team development. Partnering closely with hotel leadership, you will ensure that the spa’s offerings, service standards, and brand identity align with the overall business goals. This role requires a passionate and hands-on leader dedicated to delivering excellence, innovation, and holistic wellbeing experiences.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the full scope of spa operations, including service delivery, financial management, and team leadership.
  • Develop and implement a dynamic spa menu that reflects the latest trends in wellness, holistic modalities, and luxury service.
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of 5-star guest experiences, maintaining the highest service and hygiene standards.
  • Drive business performance through effective budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, achieving both revenue and profit targets.
  •  Oversee retail management and implement successful marketing strategies to increase visibility and profitability.
  • Partner with hotel leadership to align spa initiatives with broader brand and operational objectives.
     

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in a luxury spa or wellness environment.
  •  Proven expertise in spa operations, service standards, and team leadership within a 5-star hospitality context.
  •  Strong knowledge of spa modalities, wellness therapies, and holistic health trends.
  • Demonstrated success in developing spa menus, managing retail programs, and implementing effective marketing campaigns.
  • Previous hands-on experience as a therapist (massage, aesthetics, or acupuncture) preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Passion for health, wellness, and delivering transformative guest experiences.

Schedule & Location

  • Full-time position based at Hotel Danieli, Venice
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • You must possess the legal right to work in Italy and have fluency in English and Italian.
