WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sourcing Manager to join our team in Carlsbad California. As a Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for managing suppliers for assigned commodities such as filters and pumps for the pool and spa industry. Your primary goal will be to optimize our sourcing operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability. Additionally, you will: 

  • Identify, analyze, and execute Sourcing opportunities for assigned commodities.
  • Continuously evaluate prices, quality, and reliability of assigned suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Monitor KPIs for assigned suppliers and develop and execute improvement plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on sourcing strategies and objectives.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
  • Seek opportunities to optimize the supply chain and reduce costs of assigned commodities.
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes that impact assigned commodities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to foster collaboration and drive mutual success.
  • Lead cross-functional teams on sourcing projects and initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sourcing activities, performance metrics, and cost savings.
  • Lead sourcing activities for assigned new products.

 

WHAT WE SEEK

  • 6+ years overall in Supply Chain with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sourcing role.
  • Proven experience as a sourcing manager or in a similar procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing or retail industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement tools, such as ERP systems and supplier management platforms.
  • Knowledge of sourcing best practices, supply chain principles, and contract management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to visit suppliers and attend meetings or events.
  • Experience with ERP and business analytics systems, such as OBI preferred
  • Advanced degree or ISM Certified preferred
  • Experience working with international teams, particularly with China, Spain, Mexico, Australia preferred
     

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.

Expected salary range is $115,000 - $135,000. Fluidra offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes base salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching, paid vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location. Your recruiter will provide additional details on our compensation and total rewards program.
