Wells Fargo is seeking a Sourcing Consultant who will be responsible for managing spend categories, developing strategic sourcing strategies, and leading both supplier selection and contract negotiations for products and/or services, that have strategic business impacts.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver category expense savings/avoidances, and drafting customized contract terms to proactively address business requirements and risk concerns.
- Supports required spend categories, and takes a key role in the development of a negotiations strategy
- Establishes supplier evaluation/selection criteria and coordinates supplier due diligence activities
- Works with stakeholders to determine the long-term needs and applicable supply/service market strategies
- Supports e-business (procure-to-pay), diversity, environmental, and Strategic Sourcing cost reduction strategies to continually improve category effectiveness and efficiencies
- Uses experience, supply base knowledge, benchmarking data, and market conditions to determine appropriate supply-side and demand-side category levers
- 2+ years of Sourcing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience managing third party relationships and measuring performance results
- Ability to quickly establish credibility to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Fundamental understanding of contract law, including a minimum of 1 year experience drafting, reviewing, and interpreting contracts.
- Existing sourcing and negotiation experience through management of spend analysis and development of strategic sourcing strategies
- Experience with supplier contract negotiations, Strategic Sourcing contracting and purchasing processes, IT terminology and RFx event setup and coordination
- Benchmarking and analysis capabilities
