The Role

AI is reshaping how organizations build, ship, and scale digital products—and APIs are the connective tissue that makes it possible.

As a Solutions Engineer (North America), you’ll play a key role in the pre-sales journey, partnering with prospective enterprise customers across the region to understand their technical challenges, demonstrate the value of Gravitee’s platform, and show how our technology supports their strategic goals.

You won’t just be presenting a product. You’ll be helping enterprise teams see what’s possible with the next generation of AI-driven digital experiences while directly driving Gravitee’s growth in North America.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Drive Technical Sales Success: Partner with Enterprise Account Executives to lead the technical sales process, demonstrating Gravitee’s value and converting prospects into successful, long-term customers.

  • Understand & Solve Complex Challenges: Dive deep into enterprise architecture, conducting discovery sessions, delivering tailored product demos, leading Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and providing expert technical guidance.

  • Support and Expand Existing Accounts: Collaborate with Customer Success and Technical Account Managers to ensure existing customers maximize platform value and identify expansion opportunities.

  • Foster Strategic Partnerships: Engage with regional SI/consulting partners and technology providers to explore technical integrations that extend Gravitee’s reach.

  • Shape the Future of Gravitee: Work closely with Product and Marketing to influence the product roadmap based on direct field insights, contributing to tech talks, blogs, and community initiatives.

Your impact will be visible, measurable, and global.

Essential Skills
  • 5+ years in a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Pre-Sales role for a B2B SaaS/software vendor.

  • Proven track record engaging technical customer personas (Developers, Enterprise Architects, Security Teams, and CTOs).

  • Strong communication and presentation skills—able to break down complex technical topics for both business and technical audiences.

  • Core domain experience in middleware, API Management (APIM), Identity & Access Management (IAM), or Integration platforms.

  • Hands-on familiarity with REST, JSON, and XML.

  • Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Solid understanding of containerization and modern infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, Linux).
    Desired (Bonus) Skills:

    • Understanding of Event-Driven Architectures (EDA) and AsyncAPIs.

    • Deep knowledge of identity standards (OAuth2, OpenID Connect).

    • Hands-on experience with Kafka, gRPC, or GraphQL.

    • Exposure to LLMs, AI Agents, or generative AI frameworks/platforms.

    • Scripting/coding experience (Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript).

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
