What We Are Seeking
We are seeking a mission-focused Solutions Engineer to join Vantor’s Middle East and Africa International Government team. This is a customer-facing technical role supporting pre-sales activities for GEOINT, spatial intelligence software, satellite imagery, AI-enabled analytics, geospatial data, and mission solutions across government, defense, intelligence, and national security customers in the MEA region.
The ideal candidate brings strong GEOINT domain knowledge, hands-on technical credibility, and the ability to translate mission needs into practical, differentiated solutions. This person will partner closely with Sales, Solutions Architects, regional partners, system integrators, Product, Engineering, and Services to shape opportunities, demonstrate capability, support technical validation, and help move customers from concept to operational impact.
This role is not for someone who only runs canned demos. MEA customers operate in demanding environments shaped by national security priorities, sovereignty requirements, complex procurement models, and fast-moving mission needs. We need someone who can think technically, act commercially, and stay calm when the solution must work in the real world.
Why It MattersVantor’s MEA government customers operate in high-stakes mission environments where speed, clarity, trust, and technical credibility matter. They need more than product demonstrations; they need a partner who can understand their mission, connect capabilities across the Vantor portfolio, and help bring AI-enabled spatial intelligence solutions to life in their systems, workflows, and operations.
The Solutions Engineer will be part of a dynamic, results-oriented regional technical team expected to over-deliver for our customers. This role will work with military, government, intelligence, partner, and technical stakeholders to move customers from interest to confidence, from concept to demonstration, and from demonstration to operational impact.
Our business is fueled by delivering tangible value to our customers, and we need a team member who is obsessed with making that happen.
WhereThis role is based in the Middle East and Africa region and will support customers, partners, and internal teams across the region. Travel across MEA will be required, with occasional travel to other Vantor locations, customer sites, partner facilities, command centers, and field locations.
The RoleAs a Solutions Engineer, MEA, you will support the technical sales lifecycle for International Government customers across the region. You will help qualify opportunities, run technical discovery, deliver tailored demonstrations, support proof-of-concepts, shape solution approaches, respond to tenders, and provide the technical credibility needed to win.
You will work side-by-side with Sales and Solutions Architects to understand customer missions, map Vantor capabilities to operational workflows, and help design solutions that are feasible, secure, differentiated, and deployable. You will also serve as a critical feedback channel from MEA customers back into Product, Engineering, Services, and regional leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain effective technical relationships with government, defense, intelligence, public safety, and national security customers across MEA.
- Apply GEOINT and spatial intelligence knowledge to priority missions such as ISR, border security, maritime domain awareness, critical infrastructure protection, disaster response, national mapping, defense planning, and intelligence operations.
- Assess customer environments, including existing systems, data architectures, workflows, security requirements, hosting constraints, integration pathways, and mission outcomes.
- Translate customer concepts of operation into clear technical solution approaches that customers can understand and internal teams can execute.
- Recognize that MEA is not a single market. Adapt technical messaging, deployment assumptions, partner strategy, and customer engagement style to the realities of each country and mission environment.
- Support the full pre-sales lifecycle, including technical discovery, solution positioning, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, technical validation, proposal support, and transition to delivery.
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations, technical briefings, workshops, and proof-of-concepts that connect Vantor capabilities to real customer missions.
- Partner with Sales and Solutions Architects to qualify opportunities, identify technical win themes, assess solution fit, and focus effort on the opportunities that matter most.
- Design and support end-to-end spatial intelligence solution concepts integrating software platforms, satellite imagery, geospatial data, AI-enabled analytics, APIs, partner capabilities, and third-party data sources.
- Provide technical inputs for RFIs, RFPs, tenders, compliance matrices, proposal narratives, Statements of Work, and customer solution descriptions.
- Support customer trials, evaluations, acceptance testing, and field demonstrations at customer sites, secure facilities, partner labs, and operational locations.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support during evaluations, demos, and early-stage deployments.
- Support deployment approaches across sovereign cloud, private cloud, on-premises, hybrid, air-gapped, low-bandwidth, disconnected, and edge-based mission environments.
- Contribute to solution designs that account for API integrations, data pipelines, authentication, security controls, system interoperability, latency, bandwidth, and operational constraints.
- Work with regional partners, system integrators, resellers, and prime contractors to support joint solution design, demonstrations, and customer engagement.
- Act as a technical liaison between MEA Sales teams and Product, Engineering, Services, Operations, and Enablement teams.
- Bring structured field insight back to the business, including customer requirements, competitive intelligence, product gaps, localization needs, deployment blockers, and emerging mission patterns.
- Contribute to reusable regional demo assets, solution playbooks, technical knowledge repositories, competitive intelligence, and best practices that help the team move faster and execute better.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial / GIS, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, technical sales, systems engineering, solution architecture, geospatial solutions, defense technology, intelligence systems, software platforms, or related customer-facing technical roles.
- Strong, imagery, geospatial analytics, spatial intelligence, ISR, national security, or related mission workflow experience.
- Experience supporting tenders, RFIs, RFPs, compliance matrices, proposal content, Statements of Work, or technical evaluation processes.
- Demonstrated ability to support technical sales engagement across discovery, qualification, solution design, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, proposal support, technical validation, and transition to delivery.
- Experience working with complex software, geospatial data, imagery, analytics, APIs, cloud, hybrid, on-premises, or mission platform solutions.
- Experience supporting API integrations, data interoperability, system-to-system workflows, or integration of software platforms into customer environments.
- Ability to translate customer requirements and operational workflows into clear, credible technical approaches.
- Experience delivering technical demonstrations, customer briefings, workshops, or proof-of-concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work effectively with Sales, Solutions Architects, Product, Engineering, Services, partners, and customers in a matrixed environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to travel across the MEA region, averaging approximately 25–30%, with potential peaks up to 50%.
- Master’s degree in Geospatial Sciences, Remote Sensing, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working with Ministries of Defence, national security agencies, or defense and intelligence organizations in the Middle East and/or Africa.
- Knowledge of military intelligence workflows, ISR operations, collection management, all-source analysis, operational planning, or command-and-control environments.
- Experience with satellite imagery, remote sensing, GEOINT platforms, GIS systems, spatial analytics, data fusion, or mission intelligence workflows.
- Experience applying AI/ML capabilities to operational use cases such as computer vision, object detection, change detection, predictive monitoring, multi-source analysis, or intelligence-driven workflows.
- Experience supporting deployment or integration of software solutions across sovereign cloud, private cloud, on-premises, hybrid, air-gapped, disconnected, or edge environments.
- Understanding of 3D terrain data formats, including DEM/DTED and Cesium 3D Tiles, and coordinate systems such as WGS84 and UTM.
- Familiarity with geospatial standards, APIs, SDKs, data formats, and integration patterns, including OGC services, REST APIs, streaming data, raster/vector data, 3D terrain, or imagery-derived products.
- Arabic, French, or other regionally relevant language skills.
